Rockhopper was established in 2004 with a strategy to invest in and undertake an offshore oil exploration programme in the North Falkland Basin. It was floated on AIM in August 2005. Rockhopper was the first company to make a commercial oil discovery in the Falklands. Today Rockhopper is the largest acreage holder in the North Falkland Basin, with interests in the Greater Mediterranean region.

we shall never see 56p again, but when all this hype has died down there will be time to get back in and still make some money. RF take a chill pill, what goes up eventually comes down.

"a 12-nation union of South American states, its leaders once again offered their full support to Argentina in the dispute. " Presumably in return for a chunky slice of the oil revenue!???

Hate casting any doubt, but I would be careful of getting tooooo carried away. I also feel that within a very short period we will be looking back and thinking how much a bargain 2 or possibly 3 looked. But if it was as good a value of some of the prices floating around, IE 10 and upward, surely the market as they usually do taking all details and pricing them in, we should be far higher than the current sp value.
Not saying we won't get there, or even higher and appreciate the market often gets it wrong, and obviously they can't see the future as is proven by the movement over the last few trading days, just saying 'Don't count your chickens etc' till they are fully out the egg.

Hopefully Clegg can understand "Nuclear Missiles" have a good "deterrent" effect, especially on 12-nation South American groups........

greekman, the rise should persist while the institutions build their holdings of this stock. So while they fill their boots the rises continue, each one will free up more sellers to fill their buy orders.
Its the way the market works.

Do the math.
Chairman reckons "The Sun" was right. "The Sun" said 450M recoverable.
450M x 8.5US$ per barrel (yes just eight and a half)
That means about 1500p per share for this find.
Data out + a good flow test and it will zoom up past 1000p if that 450M estimate is correct.
So you can see why the robot AT buy trades are still flying in at 240p and they will be higher up to I would guess

Hi Proselenes,
Agreed, but MM's will no doubt be looking at the best deal they can get from the clients that matter, via the brokers of course, so just saying if it was worth say double the current sp now, the market would have pushed it up a lot higher.
I do fully agree it should continue to rise as institutions seek shares.
As to Chicken and Egg. This looks like a bloody big egg, and if the Chicken does fully hatch, well all I can say is, 'Carlsberg don't do oil wells, but if they did'.
Blimey that wines strong. Better keep away from the dealing button, I might press sell by mistake.
