Lots of things look nice and blue Socs besides my toes LOL

Socrates - 07 Jan 2006 10:50 - 8881 of 24230

Good morning on a cold, damp, overcast Saturday. Late in today, been to have ones chara' repaired and had to have it at the fixer by 8.00 a.m. All done now so nip into the coffee palace for a hammock swing and a hot bevvy.

Whilst I was waiting to get my car back, I went for a walk and wandered past the local BMW shop and was surprised to see a chap reverse a nice, shiny BMW estate thingy into a steel bollard. Looked and sounded very expensive with bits of BMW all over the show. Quite spoiled his day, I suspect.

jeffmack - 07 Jan 2006 11:20 - 8882 of 24230

LOL, was it on a test drive

Spaceman - 07 Jan 2006 12:19 - 8883 of 24230

Socs, reminds me of an occasion a long while ago when I was in london on August 1st and a guy who was driving a brand new car that he was very proud of, so proud that he was looking at pedestrians rather than the road, and he drove straight into the back of a truck stopped at a red light!

Socrates - 07 Jan 2006 14:03 - 8884 of 24230

Spaceman
I may be wrong, but I thought at the time that he was an employee setting out the forecourt.

Jeffmack
I suspect it will need a test drive now!

Spaceman - 07 Jan 2006 23:58 - 8885 of 24230

Socs, it was a guy in a brand new volvo outside 2 Marsham Street (which no longer exists but was the HQ or Dept of Transport and i worked there for 7 years!) at the Junction with Horseferry road and it was probably Ausgust 1st 1979 !!!

jeffmack - 08 Jan 2006 09:58 - 8886 of 24230

Spaceman
I think we may be at cross purposes, I was referring to yesterdays event when I said he was an employee. Sad for both of course.

Jeffmack
What a lovely day for watching rugby, cold, damp overcast and snow forecast!

Morning Socco.

Socrates - 08 Jan 2006 12:10 - 8893 of 24230

Morning Opto, up to anything exciting today? I was going out to a giant flea market, no I don't want any giant fleas, but woke up too late. Not worth going now so I shall loll aound in the hammock for most of the day.

I did get a tenner on the lottery, not a life changing event, but will have a go at next Friday's Eurolottery. It stood at 60,000,000+ this week and was not won. Now that would be a life changing event.

optomistic - 08 Jan 2006 12:20 - 8894 of 24230

Nothing on today Socco, up late myself. I will have a walk to the Co-op for some milk, that will do the exercise for the day :-) No luck on gambles this month, don't do the lottery and the P/Bonds have been mean for some while now. Good luck with the Eurolottery.
