Hi all
pretty new to all this. I have pumped some into Deltex - looks like a strong product with good growth. Could be a steady gainer.
Does anyone else have this, and anyone have some research on it? Someone with more experience than me!
thanks in advance.

I applaud your plan SD as I do believe this will come good and now you have more at a lower average. I'm watching and waiting to get back in.

At last we have a date for the annual results - 15th March just RNS'd.
This gives us a bit of a time scale against which to measure the inside market's anticpation of where we are headed.
Given this news and the price holding up at 19/20, I remain pleased with my recent purchase.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this one or do we think that everyone is waiting for results and some good news in there following the announcement about hospital spending earlier in the year.

The Gov. & NHS is incapable of progress and making good, effective investment decisions, it's slow, disorganised and held back by admin layers... extra money has gone in but wasted. the NHS is not run like a business where it's has to invest to survive. It'll just go on wasting the money that it knows will be put in.
After the election no more money will be put in with out putting up taxes. This it may or may not do depending on the political backdrop. This will also take time to to do but it will also be wasted again unless there's quick and effective NHS reforms.
So, all in all, I'm not convinced that there'll good news in the results on the day of their release.
Having gone into Deltex 3 months ago (wished I'd done a bit more research!),I hope I'm wrong and contracts /deals come along soon but I'm not banking on it. (IMHO)

I tend to agree not least of all because we are at the end of the NHS budget year and therefore decisions will be put off until April/May. I suppose this could be seen as a potential positive if the assertions of the positive support for the product is right.

I doubt if even the NHS makes capital expenditure decisions on money left over in the last month of its year.
I am more inclined to believe they may have made expenditure plans already and are waiting for the new year to begin when they can spend "new" money.
I bought near the last high and again on the recent low, so I too am hoping that something gets moving soon.

Have not seen the Shares Mag "sell" comments, however, I bet it's something along the lines of my comments above ? Results are going to be bad with no sign of any sales to the NHS.. I should've got out a while back when Delta announced the contract delays... but I didn't.. Oh well! not worth getting out now...can only hold on for the next year or two and hope for a miracle to happen

What a bunch of sheep. Shares magazine says SELL and loads of people start selling. Why did shares magazine say sell? Because the price was going down.
Self-fulfilling prophecy.
I picked up some at 19.5p recently and am now inclined to wait for a resounding crash so I can buy some more.
Crash, baby, crash, baby, crash! C'mon, you can do it!

Deltex .. no sales to nhs, no contracts/deals = no revenue for deltex = even if it eventually does come through.. it's delayed from what looked likely 6 mnths ago = share price mark down.. = disaster. SP will go down further 12p (imho).. time to buy in again.. but..it will still be speculative!

Arf Dysg - don't forget it is the sheep that allow you to buy in lower.
Skyhigh - awkward name to be attached to this share at present.

DELTEX MEDICAL GROUP
(DEMG:AIM) 20.5p
Shares in Deltex are crashing, with its price chart looking like
the north side of the Eiger. We should have said sell after the
warnings on 17 December and 5 January. Tipped at 27.25p
on 7 October 2004 the shares promptly jumped to 33.5p
before collapsing after the warnings.
Smart investors would have sold at 27p for a small loss if
they followed our 20% trailing stop loss advice.
Deltex hopes to clinch sales of its cardiac monitoring
products to NHS hospitals but there are plenty of competing
devices which seem to have brighter prospects.

Glad I got out a few weeks ago with small loss!!! BUT still on my watchlist becuase IF and when the deals do come through DEMG should be successful if only they get their before the dosh and support runs out. Can't understand why not implemented when suggestion is that it could save NHS money and reduce waiting times!!! Then again, Blair thinks the NHS is just great and can't be improved by any other means than making us throw more of our income tax at it!!!

Hit my 33% stop loss - so I'm out at 16p.
Will try to buy in lower. Only has to fall to 15.5p to buy in again without loss.
I guess the chart support level of 8p ish is looking at least 50/50 - this sell off smacks of whispers in the wind of bad news on Tuesday.
I'm feeling very brave and grown up!

thanks for the thought on MDW andysmith - with my usual timing the price has now gone up 1p
write out 500 times - buy low, sell high; buy low, sell high . . . .

True stockdog but it flew beyond 11p a short-time ago when some thought deal would be announced with results. Once deals come through MDW should really take off. <10p is cheap IMO. DEMG worth keeping on your watchlist, its on mine

No, andysmith, I menat the price on DEMG had gone up since I sold at the very bottom of today's prices!
Looking at MDW - interesting. Will I make enough profit on the SP to pay for the equipment I'll need in my dotage?
Don't feel like rushing into anything too hastily, though.
