How long do you have to wait before you start to see a return on you investment. This share has fallen nearly 40% since August. Go ahead and hold on but it's hope value now and will be so for some time to come. There are much better investments to be had. Part of being a good investor is knowing when to move on. If you had put you money in a bank and it performed like this you would be livid. But it's up to you. For me I got out at just under 9p re-invested and I'm up 15% already.

I always though the trick to shares was to sell your lossers and take the hit, and hang on to your flyers, I am hanging onto NLR that I purchased at the sametime as Pipex, NLR have made me a massive 96% profit so far, Pipex lost me 5%... so I sold Pipex, makes sence to me...

Right on. You've got to know when to hold and when to run. I did the same as you but unfortunately not with NLR.

PIPEX Communications plc (the 'Company')

The company has made application for a total of 1,500,000 new ordinary shares of
1 pence to be admitted to the Alternative Investment Market ('AIM') following an
exercise of options from the company's Employee Share Option Scheme and rank
pari passu with the existing Ordinary 1p shares.

Admission of the New Shares to AIM is expected to become effective at 8.00 am on
3 February 2005

cgt bills of 20K can extend ones outlook.

Wish I knew as well... but how many times have I sold a stock because I ran out of patience.. only to find that it then moves up... I'm still going to hold as well. :)

Slowly but surely....although it did this about 3 weeks ago.

I've been holding these since mid-2003 when they were still GX Networks. I've seens this kind of movement so many times that it's simply not exciting any more. I'm just longing for the days when I could have sold at 12p.

Still, I originally bought in at about 4p and various buys and sells over the past year have given me a tidy profit out of these so my remaining holding is pretty much already paid for. I've recently trimmed my holding to put into more exciting ventures, such as COH and SEO.
