DYOR - - - - - - - - - Biom Technologies mid-July 2010 AIM
This is the new resting place for Stanelco, the wonder producer of starch-based food-trays...only they didn't catch on.Over the last 10 years to 2010 the 0.1p shares traded abour 2.5p then shot up to 24p during 2005 with promise of Tray-Trials I understand. Within a year or so, they fell to new depths and finished at 0.2p Of course they were full-list then and some were held in ISA's hoping there would be a big profit...only now these are distressed sales as the Company slunk off to AIM, presumably "...to provide better shareholder-value"
Perhaps someone closer to the Co. can explain why the new name is Biome
....rhymes with Home. Often it is done to remove the previous sp-history.
Could it be..so new investors can bask in ignorance, etc. I'm not aware of any "change" in fortune for SEO, rather the reverse.
In my limited experience, the longer the name of a company the longer you have to wait for any return...Huh . . . . . .
. SEO had been a terrible investment.
DYOR.
Can Biome be any worse...?
EDIT ( 24April2017)- "just woken up" -me not BIOME - sp is 154, but I note about June 2013 there was what looks like a CONsolidation . . do I recall many LT investors were sold-short?... as I believe the (new share) numbers were terrible! . . . Anyone?

Well cynic your quite correct, if I had had the balls (the last time I looked I am a female so I haven't got any) I should have got out, but like you, I have had to learn the hard way. The dam things went so quickly there wasn't time if I remember to get out.
As for flowers on my grave, I don't want any, prefer them whilst I am here and not dead. Hope we laugh at this one day.

Well done on your profits with Biome, not all of us are as clever as you. The likes of us may laugh at it one day as one has to have a sense of humour!!!!!!!!! If they go then so be it, a little less to spend on me and less for the ones waiting for their inheritance HAHA!! Even less to spend on the bio-degradable flowers which I don't want. Have a nice evening and hope you had a good profit.

Dir bought recently (Oct?)12k-worth = hardly a vote of confidence, and the sp rumbles on . 2011 slight rise due to "NoNews" being the best thing for this outfit and he's "made" 20k - must be spitting nails, he'd not invested all his savings...
Well, Dirs "now" is the time to move the Company, so we can all benefit from the money you and the other laggards are paid. Sales, that's what's needed.
BTW What are you doing with twenty hundred tons of potato-peelings arriving next week (Oh, didn't you know, must give that Secretary a good dressing-down)....Name-changes nearly always spell DIS-S-A-T-R_E (rearrange the letters). It's a cheap-cut way of avoiding their past mistakes....yet there they are...at the back...
Nasty business spending our money - for what?

3M, I don't regard myself as being clever, just happened to note the rise in sp and sold at the right time. My profit? 76! Not a life changing moment hey! However, I still hold 1.6m of free shares (may sound a lot of dosh, but it aint). Why am I still hanging on to the hope that some day my 1.6m may be worth a hell of a lot of money?..........................
dunno really!
BIOM still have a reasonably solid background business which is not going to make us millionaires overnight but they should still make a decent profit if run properly. Hmmmm!

76 profit is better than none. Obviously hope you do well with the remaining ones which you still have. Have often thought of going to another broker and buying in at such a low price but haven't had the so called "Balls" and without a sex change op - I don't think I shall be aquiring any!!!!!!! (balls that is). None of us in this game knows what is around the corner worse than Russian Roulette!!!!!! Not that I know what that is either. You have to be on a winner so good luck.

Thanks 3M!
Well, I've been in this company for soooo long now, with it's ups and downs and yes, for once I really can't loose!!
To those still holding I would say, unless you really have to, (and at the present price why would you have to?!) sell your shares.......hang on. Seriously, there could just be something transformational around the corner for BIOM. I would suggest not to buy, other than very speculatively, until something positive comes to the fore. Biome Bioplastics addressed North American Bioplastics Conference as lead sponsor on Monday, 7th February 2011. I suggest that anyone who is at all interested in BIOM, or it's ilk, to take a look at what was said at the conference. NAG.

Thought you were a man of the World, Goooooooooooooosh nothing surprises me in life. (So be it I know you call yourself Cynic but I do not know what sex you are). Sorry Kim I am too old to play Football, my hay day has gone but my knowledge of life ain't. I could write a million books - not much good at the shares but wordly knowledgeable in the Human Race Society. Now lets get back to business tomorrow eh!!!!!! Good Night or we will be joining facebook - I don't think. Oh! forgot the little gems don't cost as much as the batteries for a Vibe (so I believe).

Still in, waiting for 50p. Whether that be the share price or the value of my entire holding remains to be seen!
