There's talk of an RNS on the iii boards...haven't seen it though. Rumours abound of reaching depth on the Eagle Wells in California and news about to break on Glantal in Germany....not holding at the moment...sadly...

I've heard from a reliable source that Glantal has hit something big, results to be out within 2 weeks. But Eagle results will be out by today or tomorrow. Hopefully they have succeeded. If so, share price will be around 1.50!

Aerotus, I will keep you people advised here via ADVFN, who was your reliable source and what did they say, I hope you have more than 10,000.

No news as yet, will keep you advised, I have to say it looks very strong, MM's not getting any stock despite Tree shakes x 3 this morning, I expect it to go up again soon and later today as USA comes online.

Thanks stewart - I cannot say who the source is. But there is also supporting evidence that Glantal will be positive as noted by Daz about them stopping drilling before target depth, which indicates that they already know that the seal is intact.

A great day, and still looking very positive. There was a 100K buy at 93.5p at 13:09. Somebody is confident!! You don't buy that amount when the chart is looking so toppy.

I am sorry all I could not log onto Money AM, I eventually rebooted and just got on,

Level 2 finished strong at Bid 91 Offer 92, someone paid 93p for 16K shares, good strong finish bodes well for tomorrow.

Some good posts regarding Eagle on other board, especially by Gripton and Edgein, ask away anyone, I think we have oil but it's just my thoughts

Look at the last 4 bars of volume on the chart. Significantly increasing volume along with increase in price. Classic sign of imminent good news!

Doubled my holding this morning. Chart has support even at 90p. Somebody knows something about Glantal!

Another very strong performance by EME. Looks like buy orders are still being filled. Despite the barrage of sells near end of day, the price did not waiver.

Drilling update
Eagle Oil Pool Development Project - California, USA

AIM quoted Empyrean Energy PLC today announces the following update on the Eagle
North-1 well in California, USA.

Victoria Petroleum NL as operator for the Eagle North-1 well has advised that at
0900 hours on 16 February 2006, Perth, Australia Western Standard Time, Eagle
North-1 had been drilled to its total depth of 4219 metres and preparations were
being made to run electric wireline logs to evaluate the hydrocarbon shows
encountered in the well while drilling. The operator anticipates that results of
the wireline logs should be available in 12-18 hours time.

The primary zone of interest for the wireline log evaluation is the target sand
that was circulated up with an increase in gas to a peak of 42 units over a
background of 8 units at 4,167 metres accompanied by an increase in heavier C5
gases decreasing to background at 4,175 metres.

Definitely by tomorrow morning at the latest.

News from Eagle North 1 looks good.

A summary of the bulletin is,

Based on wire line log interpretation there is presence of oil.
Well to be cased and production tested over next 8 days.
Following production testing confirming extent of the Eagle oil pool in the vicinity of the Eagle North-1 well bore, well will be horizontally drilled for 300 metres, to be completed for oil production
In the event of a successful horizontal completion, flow rates of up to 1000 barrels per day anticipated.

Looks very encouraging. Towards end of month for production test and some time in March for horizontal drilling result.

We have 38.5% of Eagle exploration.

Fingers crossed.

I have heard strong rumours that Glantal news is expected to be positive. I am holding for that.

sold and bought back in (well couldnt help it!) but i was only in from 77p unlike some of you early birds :>)

Not really much of a party going on in here is there! :'( I feel alone!

Don't feel alone Aerotus..I've been enjoying EME over the last week or so as well. It's odd, but some stocks don't seem to register much on certain BBs. It was much livelier on the iii boards for this one..don't know why really??

It's been a terrific week as I've got a bit of CHP, VOG, Merdian Petroleum and EME.
May have a glass of bubbly tonight to celebrate.
