Keep an eye on Minoan currently listed on Plus. As indicated above this stock is being moved to AIM on May 2. This stock has been held back both by its listing on Plus and the time taken to secure planning permission. Planning consent has now been given for a massive holiday complex in Crete and previous lack of newsflow is now being reversed. A company that develops pesticides and insecticides derived from plant oil is to float on the Alternative Investment Market in a bid to enter a $23bn (11.49bn) market affected by environmental and safety concerns.

TyraTech is to be spun out of XL TechGroup, which is also quoted on Aim.

Finally, a strong start to trading is expected for AFC Energy as it begins life on the public markets today after a placing by the broker Dawnay Day at 23p per share. The alkaline fuel-cell company has signed a deal with Akzo Nobel, and demand for its shares is expected to be good.

Cineworld said that it planned to float in a move that would give Britains second-largest cinema chain a market value of up to 245 million. Morning all. Just bought some AFC on speculation that trading is going to be strong.

AFC SP currently: Bid: 26p Offer: 27p Change: No change reported, but I have seen the price drop from 28/30 down to 25/27. About 200k traded so far.

Correct, GF. but according to my quick scan in Shares Mag, it's very similar to Qonnectis, (QTI) from which great things have been expected, yet the SP has gone nowhere.

Wizz Air, the low-fare airline that has built a business shuttling Polish and Hungarian workers to Western Europe, is planning to float on the London Stock Exchange in a listing that could value it at 400m-500m.

Finally, Volga Gas, a Russian exploration and production group, comes to AIM today following a placing by the brokers Renaissance Capital and KBC Peel Hunt at $6 (299p) per share. The company is expected to start producing commercial quantities of gas from its assets in eastern Russia before the end of 2008. The placing was oversubscribed by 40 per cent.

VTB, Russias second-largest bank, has set the indicative price range for its initial public offering next month, the first by a Russian bank in London. It will try to raise up to $8.4 billion (4.2 billion), seeking to almost match its rival Sberbanks $8.95 billion rights issue. In an investment memorandum, VTB said that it had set the indicative price range at 0.1130 to 0.1390 roubles per share, or $8.77 to $10.79, for a global depositary receipt
