Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

jj50 - 03 Feb 2006 16:51 - 9287 of 24230

Evening Socs :-)

Have a nice week-end, opto!

Forgot to buy my ticket Socs. Can I share your winnings please? :-)

hilary - 03 Feb 2006 16:57 - 9288 of 24230

This could be profitable. There are something like 70m different number permutations for tonights Euromillions which, at 1.50 a ticket, would cost around 105m to cover all permutations.

The 125m jackpot should therefore yield an instant 20m profit unless there are multiple winners.

I'm just off to the corner shop now for my 70m tickets. Do you think he'll be OK with a cheque?

Socrates - 04 Feb 2006 09:05 - 9289 of 24230

Oh dear, missed the instant fortune yet again. Didn't even win one of the 5,918,812 prizes in the UK. I shall console myself with a FEB and pot of tea.

jj50 - 04 Feb 2006 09:12 - 9290 of 24230

I'll join you for a steaming cup of tea, Socs.

Must have been winning ticket no. 70 million and 1 as hilary didn't win either!!

Spaceman - 04 Feb 2006 09:50 - 9291 of 24230

Spaceman

Don't be a angry old git, it only makes your hair fall out. If you buy second hand books, I have found this a useful website:

abebooks

Spaceman - 04 Feb 2006 10:05 - 9293 of 24230

Socs ;-)

most of my hair has already gone...

Thats link looks good, it has an Amazon feel about it, are they linked?

Well time for a quick FEB then its off shopping, hopefully I will get away with sitting in a coffee shop reading the paper while mrs spaceman does the actual shopping.

Morning all
Been fishing the past 2 days and bloody cold it was too.

Spaceman - 04 Feb 2006 10:17 - 9295 of 24230

Jeff, thats will be the weather ;-) where did you fish? what did you catch?

Socrates - 04 Feb 2006 10:18 - 9296 of 24230

Spaceman
I don't know if there is a link with Amazon. I have used Abebooks twice and found them very quick. They seem to be a link between dozens of book dealers, both times the books turned up from different sellers. One just this morning, only ordered on Tuesday, pretty good service. Of course, with used books you have to rely on the accuracy of the description as to condition but I've had no grumbles so far.

Jeffers
Sounds like there is a market opportunity there. Do you think we could put together a group of investors, We could buy a stretch of river, put a big heated shed over it, stock it with a bar and cafeteria and rent out pegs at a fortune per hour.

jeffmack - 04 Feb 2006 10:21 - 9297 of 24230

Spaccie
Thursday we went to Elphicks near Goudhurst. I watched my rods from 7:30 to 12:00, went to the toilet and my son caught a 24lb carp on my rod, I was gutted as my previous best is 19lb.
Friday we went to Monk Lakes, between Linton and Staplehurst on A229. Just small stuff was caught.

Spaceman - 04 Feb 2006 10:35 - 9298 of 24230

Jeff, I bet your son was pleased, must have made his day especially as it was bigger that your best.

Socrates - 04 Feb 2006 11:14 - 9299 of 24230

Jeffers
Sounds like Sods Law is alive and well and living in Goudhurst, commiserations to you and congratulations to your son.

Socrates - 05 Feb 2006 09:11 - 9300 of 24230

I've just seen the sun, only briefly, but it is nice to know it still exists. FEB on the go, mines a double everything.

jeffmack - 05 Feb 2006 10:00 - 9301 of 24230

Socrates - 05 Feb 2006 10:49 - 9302 of 24230

Spaceman - 05 Feb 2006 12:11 - 9303 of 24230
