THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Thanks for that Ken...

Gausie - 13 Aug 2010 15:43 - 9375 of 81564

oooooh - you're clever. I see what you're doing! A sophisticated plan, but I'm onto you!

tabasco - 13 Aug 2010 15:45 - 9376 of 81564

HaystackI would have thought you are quite correct blnx have gone from 12p to 64p in less than three monthsthank you very much not a great job by the shorters?

Fred1new - 13 Aug 2010 15:46 - 9377 of 81564

I am in difficulties.

I think I have squelched half the recent posters on this thread.

But, being dyslexic and a superior one, I can guess what the rants, threats and abuse of squelched ones are.

But reading with my third eye I agree with the un-squelched postings.

Strangely in France I didn't understand what was being said to me, and it was obvious what I was saying didn't make much sense to the French.

We got on perfectly well and both sides seemed happy.

Sorry "Confuscious" or something like that.

Barbies Friend..

greekman - 13 Aug 2010 16:44 - 9381 of 81564

Fred,

Have joined you re the squelching. Will see if other posters still reply to the children who appear to have taken over.
Shame really, as a few who tend to reply to these idiots, often do have something interesting to say.
Still if the squelching makes no difference, this post will at least explain why I am doing a disappearing act.
To the sensible posters (you know who you are) please don't encourage those who appear intent on spoiling this thread by replying/bitting.

Regards to most but not all.

Greek.

Sorry GreekI was asked a direct leading questionI gave it my normal answer.

Sometimes the BB' s are richer by characters who are prepared to take a stance on a stock, be they right or wrong. However when it comes to abuse we do try and stamp it out. This week we have banned clubman3509, and now Tabasco's seems to be pressing the self destruct button.

For clarity Gausie is not a member of the MoneyAM management despite delusions by Clubman and Tabasco that he is.

I will put it simply Tabasco, if you persist with your attacks or reposting of other defamatory emails or BB postings you will be removed from MAM.

The BBs are for the enjoyment of everyone. If you want a BB where you can abuse anyone including management I suggest you set up your own BB.

Isaacs - 13 Aug 2010 22:21 - 9384 of 81564

What did clubman get banned for? Abuse seems to be a regular tactic of many. How did he step over the line?

Bullshare - 13 Aug 2010 22:30 - 9385 of 81564

Isaacs. As you can appreciate we get many complaints a day about posters. We are generally very very liberal on this and where we can we edit or just simply accept that sometimes people will rise to bear baiting and over step the mark in the heat of the moment. Having been MD of MoneyAM and ADVFN before that, you know as well as I do that I am extremely tolerant and as a company we hardly ever ban anyone.

However sometimes people overstep the mark with one posting or series of postings and its at that point we decide that after a large number of complaints that enough is enough and with over 200,000 users why should one person take up our time.

If you want to know why he was banned perhaps you should read all his postings since 2006 and see the deterioration in his posting style and more recently the site moderators decided enough was enough on certain postings this week.

Isaacs - 13 Aug 2010 22:47 - 9386 of 81564

Ok thanks I must admit I haven't really followed and was just curious if anything specific had triggered the red card. Think I'll take your word for it! Overall yes I agree you are very tolerant.

tabasco - 14 Aug 2010 08:10 - 9387 of 81564

Michaelthank you for at least giving myself and my wife opportunity of right to reply without banning meI can honestly say that I have never to my knowledge been abusive to any posters or the management at AMin fact I think you have a very good site here

My problem as you will know is Gausiehe has over a period of time made some pretty disgusting remarks/insults about my wife that have been hard for me to takeabuse at the highest levelI rely on AM to stop this abuseand they have failedGausie posted this just the other day:- AM couldn't and wouldn't say anything to me about you.
Michaelhe went on to say The only way I can stop your wife from rabbiting on about what a tosser you are is by sticking something big into her very receptive mouth.that is just one of many many examples!

Please tell me how he can guarantee himself exemption from any disciplinary action by AM and carry on conducting himself in the same mannerHe boasts AM will take no actionand continues posting in the same manner while others are banned

From an outsiders point of viewwhich my wife isshe cannot understand how he is allowed to get away with this?please explain to her?

Michael you assure me thatFor clarity Gausie is not a member of the MoneyAM management despite delusions by Clubman and Tabasco that he is. I say that he must be using AM name in vain to abuse postersClubman wanted to donate his subscription to a charityGausies reply to Clubman was this:-

Gausie - 13 Aug'10 - 15:17 - 838 of 838

Clubby - I can guarantee you this: whatever subs you may have forfeited at MAM will not be raised by me as the subject of discussion at any of my board meetings. Period.

Now Gausie could come back and say no names were mentionedbut I would say in the context of the conversationthis is pretty damning evidence

Finally I can say I have enjoyed myself on AMI am proud of my track record of successI hope investors have made plenty of money and have laughed a few times at some of my occasionally funny posts...i have tried to keep within the rules

Michael I have got to say if Gausie persists in his normal manner of abuseI will persist in responseI have never given in to a bully in my lifeif you ban me for thisit will be sending out wrong messagesbut at least you have given myself and my wife the opportunity to defend my actions

I am behind on all my Racing Work nowso got to go cheers!..

Gausie - 14 Aug 2010 09:36 - 9388 of 81564

Tabby

Your post illustrates the depth of your paranoia.

Your wife - you introduced complete fabrications insulting me and my family over two years ago and reposted variants of them time and time again. I started to post about your wife maybe three months ago. If you can't take it, don't dish it.

"AM couldn't and wouldn't say anything to me about you" - I stand by this statement. You could substitute AM in that sentence with the name of any properly run company and it is equally as true.

"He boasts AM will take no action" - You've made this up. I have never made any such claim. Indeed - I have on occasion received a deserved slapped wrist from MAM. I know I post very close to the line, but if ever I am warned that I may have stepped over it then I immediately take a few paces back.

"Clubby - I can guarantee you this: whatever subs you may have forfeited at MAM will not be raised by me as the subject of discussion at any of my board meetings. Period." You need to re-read this post and the preceding postings in the light of what you now know. Add to that the fact that I run a number of companies and attend board meetings of a number of other companies (one of which turns over more than 250m and employs in excess of 4,000 staff in Kent) and you'll see my answers make perfect sense.

Perhaps one day you'll pause for a moment and wonder how and why you have managed to get yourself into this position. You complain that an entire gang seems to be against you. There is no gang - just a number of decent individual traders and investors each of whom has independently grown to dislike your manner of posting.

How and why, do you suppose, have you become worthy of such apparently unwelcome attention?

What do you suppose you can do to prevent it in the future?

Please don't post the answers to these questions because I'm not interested, and nor, I expect, is anyone else on this BB. They are posed as rhetorical subject matter for your private contemplation and introspection.

Say "Hi" to your wife for me.

Haystack - 14 Aug 2010 18:10 - 9392 of 81564

LOL

Who cares about any of this.

Gausie - 14 Aug 2010 18:22 - 9393 of 81564

Keep up. Sigh. As usual, you're only hearing what you want to hear, and getting yourself all muddled up. The email to Clubby was from Mike on behalf of MAM - and you should by now have established that Mike and I are, in fact, different people. Furthermore, I am not now nor have ever been part of the management of MAM.

G

ps - I seem to have lost a cufflink. Please can you ask your misses to check under your bed for me? Ask her to look where she found my cufflink last time I lost it. Oh - and I drank some of your scotch, but then topped up the bottle for you with a similarly coloured substitute. Hope it tastes ok.
