Proselenes - 19 Dec 2010 03:33 - 939 of 3002

Considering the speculation regarding the Betty Knutsen (who again appears to be out of AIS range and perhaps back at the rig).

From III/AFN

Looks like a serious attempt to do the flow test will occur this week.

Wave heights are on until Saturday :

And a flotilla of ships is on site at the Ocean Nomad, estimated that by Monday morning the following may all be there :

NSO Fortune, Havila Fortune, Vos Sentinal, Maersk Finder, Betty Knutsen.

Did nobody notice that the flow test had commenced?

drum - 20 Dec 2010 10:43 - 944 of 3002

Sorry !! I read that the last post was 10 hours ago,

markymar - 20 Dec 2010 10:46 - 945 of 3002

flying today, weather window is there!!!!good luck all

cynic - 20 Dec 2010 11:23 - 946 of 3002

now then, now then ..... at what level should one prudently lock in some (more) profits?
as a guide, 330 was the recent all-time closing high

DD5 - 20 Dec 2010 11:31 - 947 of 3002

4 on its way, surely?

cynic - 20 Dec 2010 11:32 - 948 of 3002

why? ..... satisfactory flow has yet to be proven

Balerboy - 20 Dec 2010 11:33 - 949 of 3002

we're having a good day people's.......

DD5 - 20 Dec 2010 11:34 - 950 of 3002

just being optimistic :)

markymar - 20 Dec 2010 11:37 - 951 of 3002

Cynic there is no reason why this should not flow, also weather window is good, i think the share price can double on good news from here.

drum - 20 Dec 2010 11:45 - 952 of 3002

If we sell, can anyone advise where to invest the proceeds ??

moneyplus - 20 Dec 2010 11:49 - 953 of 3002

AGQ or CNR or KEFI for me.

gildph - 20 Dec 2010 11:54 - 954 of 3002

Personally I'm holding out for 5-7 range on this but a few other interesting oillies out there - take a look at DPL, COV, CHAR, CAZA, BPC, PROV, RKH to name a few or RRR/ACQ/MARL if you want to diversify a wee bit albeit still in high risk category...

cynic - 20 Dec 2010 12:19 - 955 of 3002

for sure BPC is a total crap company with no assets at all - trade it if you must, but don't kid yourself that it is anything more than blind hope supported by blind fools

if i was to reinvest profits from XEL and was determined to stay with oilies, from your list (of the ones i have even heard of), i would go for COV and RKH ..... if you want "real" companies, then TLW and AFR (especially) should be on your list

==========

marky - if only life were that certain! ..... on balance, i think XEL will announce a good result, as then they will be able to place shares at a much higher level than today

markymar - 20 Dec 2010 12:45 - 956 of 3002

Nothing is for certain Cynic i think that is one lesson i have learnt from you and a profit is not a profit till banked.

Holding 5 figure numbers in RKH and XEL and DES if i can get out at a profit in DES i will and put it into RKH.......i think!!!!

cynic - 20 Dec 2010 12:51 - 957 of 3002

i think i'ld be very happy for you to make a profit on DES, even if that would mean me having to cut my losses! ..... just hope you remember to bank some this time

cynic - 20 Dec 2010 13:06 - 958 of 3002

i'm surprised to note that volume is only 1.7m so far
