Up nearlly 15% today and I beleive there could be more to come.
Evil Knievil has tipped it on EvilCast and has bought in 100,000 worth of stock a notifiable interest. He rates the management very highly and says they are attracting all the big bookmakers to the online casino site including punters the likes of William Hill, Chandler, and Ladbrokes. The company are now running at a profit every month and should break into a yearly profit from the years previous loss very soon. The company also ownes in partnership with a Swiss firm Boss another casino site and by all accounts that is doing well.
Im looking at this one as a momentum play pretty high risk as there are competitors out there but I feel the management will give it the edge.
Please DYOR, and remember you are responsible for your own buying and selling actions.
cheers GF.

I've watched these for a while but got in today just below 12p, I know they're mainly casino's but not sure about any possible benefit (if any) from the world cup or the relaxing of gambling regs. in USA.

This was posted on the other side, a good read. Some people on other boards are starting to doubt the ability of the Directors to deliver shareholder value, but are good at giving bonuses to them selves. Don't know about that one but this share on fundamentals is under valued. I value it at on the last set of figures at 14-16p. Wait for the 23rd when interims are out.

There is too much gloom on site and so I have extracted some more information from within the report mentioned in my last post, to supplement it and hopefully lift some spirits.
Online gambling is probably illegal in the US. However, in GMCs management's own words "Gaming Corp has a lower regulatory risk compared to many of our competitors as we do not target US customers with our own casino operation. Our gaming portal business falls outside the contentious US regulatory framework as it is essentially a media and advertising business
Along with growing advertising revenues, Gambling .com is also benefiting from offering its excellent search technology to other 3rd party online gambling portals. These portals benefit by being able to provide search facilities to their customers. Both parties split the cost per click advertising revenues. It's a win-win situation.
Other gambling portals could eat into Gaming Corp's strong niche position, but barriers to entry, such as uniqueness of domain name, brand strength, liquidity, marketing capability and affiliate networks, are surprisingly strong and provide protection from copycat sites.
In the unlikely event management did not deliver, and they have an excellent track record, then someone else would surely be interested in their highly desirable assets. With the competitive landscape set to intensify, the strategic value of GMC's assets will become more important and a takeover of Gaming Corp is a distinct possibility within the next 2 years.
In last week's Budget, Gordon Brown announced that from 1st August, Fixed Odds Betting Terminals would be taxed at 1,965 per year, per machine on top of VAT. Bad news for the bookmakers, but could be beneficial to online gambling. Additionally the introduction of a blanket smoking ban in all betting shops, if implemented, could also lead to a migration of players from betting shops to online gambling.
Gaming Corporation is a growth company that is valued like a bog standard utility and with customer acquisition costs and player attrition rates rising; this competitive environment plays perfectly into Gaming Corporation's already strong hand.
It is not hard to envisage a large foreign operator acquiring GMC in order to gain an access into the deregulated UK market and at only 37.3m @ 12.5 ps this would be nothing to one of the large companies. Under the new IFRS accounting rules, goodwill is not now amortized through the P&L, thus making any acquisition of GMC earnings neutral in the first year at a takeover price of up to 20p/share (assuming a 5% cost of borrowing).
With the financials already very firmly underpinning the share price, the company's other valuable assets are effectively free. These include its market-leading contract with Orange for the supply of mobile casino games, its new skill gaming portal and if the UK Gambling Commission decides that all licensed operators need a URL with a .co.uk suffix (not yet confirmed), we can expect the www.casino.co.uk domain name to become even more valuable. Moreover once regulated, large international operators (e.g. MGM) may well wish to expand into the UK, and hence aggressively advertise their new online operations.
When GMC release their results on 23rd May management should at least reiterate their confidence in achieving the EPS targets of approx 1p in 2006, this would value the shares on a forward P/E of 10-11, and there is every chance that these expectations will be exceeded.
This next week is bound to be a bit dodgy after the latest rise but should steady out and climb next week onwards into the results.
Chins up boys and girls.

Up at last. Remember results out on the 23rd. If they are good and it looks as if they will be then we could see another climb. Broker forcast 21-24p by the end of the year. Who said the Drummonds don't know what they're doing. Now if the Directors buy, well who knows. Stick with it people and you will get your reward for being patience.

updated broker note from cannacord
Technology -- Internet Gaming
Vodafone goes Live!
Event
Gaming Corporation announced it has signed a contract with Vodafone UK to launch its fully interactive mobile casino on Vodafone Live! The service is expected to launch within the next month. We are also expecting Gaming Corporation to launch its Ongame mobile poker.
Impact
The announcement vindicates management, which had intended to have the contract signed at the beginning of the year. It also demonstrates that the company is building traction around its mobile product and creates greater confidence around our current revenue forecasts. The company is already seeing good early indications from its existing contract with Orange UK which currently has 10,000 registered users and has experienced lifetime player revenues as high as 300 on the 15% of customers which have converted to cash play. The mobile gaming market is still in an early stage of development; however, these developments show that the company is effectively positioning itself to benefit from future growth in mobile gaming in the UK and Europe.
Valuation
We are maintaining our BUY recommendation and 12-month price target of 25.00p based on our three-stage DCF model, which incorporates a 10.7% long-term CAGR and a terminal growth rate of 2.5%, discounted using a WACC of 11.1% based on a beta of 1.21. The stock is currently trading at a F06E calendarised PE of 10.6 times, which is a discount to the peer group of gaming operators, which is trading at a F06E PE of 14.7 times.
Investment risks
Risks include continued US regulatory uncertainty relating to financial transactions and advertising in the Internet gaming space. We also believe that the companys strategy of new product additions and corporate acquisitions may also create risks for the company.

From Justin Drummond earlier......................
Hi Alan,
I noticed that you are active on the ADVFN chat room and just wanted to clarify a couple of points that seems to be confusing some people:
1. The 2 Million share options were exercised by Charles Black an ex Director of Gaming Corp. He currently has no intention of selling these for the next 2 years.
2. The Directors of Gaming Corp have effectively been in a closed period for several months as a result of the Vodafone deal and have therefore not been able to buy shares in the Company
I hope this is helpful,
Justin

This is genuine from Justin and i then sent a reply back to him.
Hi Justin
Thanks for your prompt reply
I am glad you keep tabs on things regarding ADVFN (i also post on iii (interactive investor) both under the presneill31 name.I did post the other day regarding the fact that if it was the 2 million that had just been granted ,then they could not be sold on the market ,probably for 2-3 years at least, and that the 2 million were merely admitted on the 10th May.
I am sure much of what we speculate makes you laugh or grind your teeth in wanting us to get our facts right, but that is just the typical PI who being the last to know is "blind" for much of the time as to what is really going on.
It is true that we do look to director buying as a good sign for the future, but realise that you have mortgages just like us (and the odd Ferrari to look after !!!)
I was slightly stunned as to your reply 11 months after my initial email when the market was very uncertain and is still rather sceptical of the sector, but i am aware of how many emails you get from investors alone wanting to put their view.
I will of course paste your reply on the ADVFN bb and iii board for other investors to learn the "facts".If you wish to email me to pass on any thoughts or errors that we make in the future ,i will be happy to do so.
I will not trouble to ask you anything regarding the company as i know very well that you are unable to say anything, suffice to say i look forward to the results and the forward statement, and congratulate you on the vodaphone contract, also not forgetting gambling.com ,eyeconomy and the casino sites, which by all accounts are doing very well.
I thank you for your time in replying, and wish you well for the results and beyond.
Best wishes
Alan
PS The only question i have to ask is .The institutions that bought in @14 do you have contact with them and have they been concerned over the sp or was it a long term investment from the start with them.

Nice one presneill. It's a bagger from here at least. A tie up with Vodaphone and Orange with maybe one more in the pipe line. Broker forcast has been increased to 25p. We could see 20p within the next 7 days. If that's the case that will put a smile on the wife's face and with any luck one on mine. This is no longer blue sky the fundamentals and cash flow are there. The results will show this.

Gaming Corporation - SPECULATIVE BUY
Companies: GMC
18/05/2006
Despite the perception that the growth rates in the online gaming world have slowed, Gaming Corporation's broker Canaccord Adams still believes that this gaming tiddler will be able to show revenue growth of over 450% in the four years to September 2008.
Gaming Corp operates gambling.com, a 10m acquisition and apparently the world's leading gaming search engine. This website receives money when users search for particular internet sites and 'click through' to them when their search is complete. Advertisers basically pay to receive higher rankings in the search results. It has about 500 websites linking to it and a database of 200,000 members.
Gaming Corp's other interests include casino.com, a gaming portal (income is generate each time a user clicks on an advertising banner), and various mobile gaming interests with Orange and Vodafone. It also operates its own online casino.
Net revenues (gross revenues minus player wins) in the year to September 2005 hit 3.6m, with pre-tax profits tumbling in at 445,000 and earnings per share jumping to 0.19p. For this year, its broker reckons profits will hit 3.19m, jumping to 6.3m for 2007 and 7.5m in 2008. Net revenues are expected to more than double to 8.2m in 2006 and leap to 16.7m by 2008.
On expected diluted EPS of 0.93p for 2006, the group is trading on a forward p/e of 13 for this year. This is not expensive, especially when one considers the rate of growth expected here, but this is a fast changing and volatile sector and Gaming Corp is one of the smallest listed players. Speculative buy.
