i agree ..... Al, have you actually shorted? ..... if so, quite a brave call, but then so would be to buy at this juncture

Strawbs - 26 Jun 2007 09:17 - 943 of 2087

Not sure it's that brave Cynic. If you look back over the chart it has a number of spikes followed by drops.....like a ski slope. I suppose history doesn't have to repeat itself ..... but then again.

In my opinion anyway.....

Strawbs.

Big Al - 26 Jun 2007 11:29 - 944 of 2087

Nothing brave up around 50p, cynic. It just looked like a bunch of traders were cashing in some good short term longs from the last couple of trading days. Thought I'd help. ;-))

Dil - 26 Jun 2007 12:08 - 945 of 2087

Bet tc sells at the top .....he's a bloody hero , a legend in his own lunch time.

Big Al - 26 Jun 2007 12:30 - 946 of 2087

tea break more like. ;-))

ptholden - 26 Jun 2007 12:32 - 947 of 2087

Hvaing probably been hoofed, I think his well thought out new surreptitious handle may have left him rather exposed to a repeat hoofing!

Big Al - 26 Jun 2007 12:39 - 948 of 2087

LOL

hlyeo98 - 26 Jun 2007 13:03 - 949 of 2087

Get out before it falls...when EME falls, u have no time to get out.

Big Al - 26 Jun 2007 15:02 - 950 of 2087

Covered +4. ;-))

cynic - 26 Jun 2007 20:16 - 951 of 2087

the tc-turd has been touting 2.40 by 22nd August ....... i still have no position but note that, as suggested, sp is now re-testing 200 dma, a level which historically it has not been able to maintain ...... for the brave, this might be an interesting short as no significant support until about 10 below current

tcdmct1963 - 26 Jun 2007 20:26 - 952 of 2087

Cynic acomplaint has been logged regarding your remarks.

Big Al - 26 Jun 2007 20:34 - 953 of 2087

.............. and a complaint has been logged regarding your very existence 1963.

Cashed in yet or what?

tcdmct1963 - 26 Jun 2007 21:52 - 954 of 2087

Big Al dont be silly i wont be moving until i get my 130.000

Big Al - 27 Jun 2007 08:08 - 955 of 2087

Great start for you today then. ;-))))))

hlyeo98 - 27 Jun 2007 08:41 - 956 of 2087

You are dreaming if you are thinking of getting 130,000 from EME. Frank Brophy is more conniving and cunning.

Big Al - 27 Jun 2007 08:54 - 957 of 2087

Now this isn't an ideal situation. I was in a similar scenario almost exactly a year ago and we singularly failed to squeeze any cement behind the casing. I wish EME the best of luck, but it is slow, laborious and not without great hazard. It'll bump up the costs too.

You certainly cannot start fraccing the formation without a very good cement job. Wonder what caused it to be screwed up in the first place. They certainly didn't tell us this earlier did they? ......... or did I miss something?

Empyrean Energy PLC

('Empyrean' or the 'Company'; Ticker: (EME))

Sugarloaf Prospect, ('Sugarloaf') Texas USA
-------------------------------------------

Empyrean provides the following update on testing of the Sugarloaf-1 well as
provided by the operator.

As recently reported by other listed partners participating in this well, the
commencement of the fracture stimulation and testing program of the Cretaceous
carbonate zone requires remedial cementation of the well casing across the zones
of interest prior to testing. This process which involves serial perforation of
the casing and squeezing cement is expected to take several weeks to complete.

The latest indication from the Operator is that fracture stimulation and flow
testing of the first of the three zones of possible gas pay is now expected to
commence during the first half of August.

The information contained in this announcement was completed and reviewed by the
Technical Director of Empyrean Energy Plc, Mr Frank Brophy BSc (Hons) who has
over 40 years experience as a petroleum geologist.

cynic - 27 Jun 2007 08:58 - 958 of 2087

and sp has again dumped decisively back down through 200 dma

micky468 - 27 Jun 2007 09:00 - 959 of 2087

morning big Al maybe it something to do with that locking nut ;-))

Big Al - 27 Jun 2007 09:01 - 960 of 2087

40p area has to hold cynic or all bets are off IMO. I'd have certainly kept my short open if I'd known this news.

Sugarloaf now high risk and a chance the well is useless if they can't squeeze.

cynic - 27 Jun 2007 09:07 - 961 of 2087

i think you are right, but sp now about 38.5 mid ...... however (indicated) spread is about 4.5 so not nearly enough room to make a (new) short worthwhile.
