the tc-turd has been touting 2.40 by 22nd August ....... i still have no position but note that, as suggested, sp is now re-testing 200 dma, a level which historically it has not been able to maintain ...... for the brave, this might be an interesting short as no significant support until about 10 below current

You are dreaming if you are thinking of getting 130,000 from EME. Frank Brophy is more conniving and cunning.

Now this isn't an ideal situation. I was in a similar scenario almost exactly a year ago and we singularly failed to squeeze any cement behind the casing. I wish EME the best of luck, but it is slow, laborious and not without great hazard. It'll bump up the costs too.
You certainly cannot start fraccing the formation without a very good cement job. Wonder what caused it to be screwed up in the first place. They certainly didn't tell us this earlier did they? ......... or did I miss something?

Sugarloaf Prospect, ('Sugarloaf') Texas USA
-------------------------------------------
Empyrean provides the following update on testing of the Sugarloaf-1 well as
provided by the operator.
As recently reported by other listed partners participating in this well, the
commencement of the fracture stimulation and testing program of the Cretaceous
carbonate zone requires remedial cementation of the well casing across the zones
of interest prior to testing. This process which involves serial perforation of
the casing and squeezing cement is expected to take several weeks to complete.
The latest indication from the Operator is that fracture stimulation and flow
testing of the first of the three zones of possible gas pay is now expected to
commence during the first half of August.

40p area has to hold cynic or all bets are off IMO. I'd have certainly kept my short open if I'd known this news.
Sugarloaf now high risk and a chance the well is useless if they can't squeeze.

i think you are right, but sp now about 38.5 mid ...... however (indicated) spread is about 4.5 so not nearly enough room to make a (new) short worthwhile.

Project Margarita, Gulf Coast Texas USA
Gas discovery at the Dona Carlota-1 well flows 1.02 million cubic feet
per day on test
AIM quoted Empyrean Energy PLC today announces the following update with
regards Project Margarita:
1. DONA CARLOTA PROSPECT
The operator of the Dona Carlota #1well has advised that production testing of
the Dona Carlota-1 well Frio gas zone has commenced with a gas flow rate of 1.02
million cubic feet per day with no water reported. The test is being carried out
over the gross gas zone of 13.9 metres and net gas pay of 5.6 metres over the
interval 1,423.2 to 1,437.1 metres with gas on rock and no water. The well will
be tied into a nearby sales pipeline.
2. AGAVERO PROSPECT
Preparations for the testing of the Agavero-1 well gas zone over the upper 4.0
metre laminated sand and base 1.5 metre sand interval to evaluate overall
reserve potential are also in progress.
3. CLIMACO PROSPECT
The drilling rig is on location at Climaco-1, the third well in the current
shallow Frio exploration program preparing to commence drilling as soon as
preparations are complete.
The Climaco Prospect is the third of the three prospects that are being drilled
in the current program which are analogues of historic prolific Frio and
Vicksburg sands production in the project area at <2,000 meters depth.
As with the successful wells in the first program, the tie in of any commercial
discovery made on these prospects in this current three well program will be
rapid as the project area is crossed by a number of gas pipelines with access
rights and available capacity.
