Deltex (DEMG)

grajul - 19 Feb 2004 13:39

Hi all
pretty new to all this. I have pumped some into Deltex - looks like a strong product with good growth. Could be a steady gainer.
Does anyone else have this, and anyone have some research on it? Someone with more experience than me!
thanks in advance.

What's the story with the Shares sell recommend today? Can't read it since no access, so can someone post it, please.

Standing by for shocks to the SP which I continue to hold.

Have not seen the Shares Mag "sell" comments, however, I bet it's something along the lines of my comments above ? Results are going to be bad with no sign of any sales to the NHS.. I should've got out a while back when Delta announced the contract delays... but I didn't.. Oh well! not worth getting out now...can only hold on for the next year or two and hope for a miracle to happen

What a bunch of sheep. Shares magazine says SELL and loads of people start selling. Why did shares magazine say sell? Because the price was going down.

Self-fulfilling prophecy.

I picked up some at 19.5p recently and am now inclined to wait for a resounding crash so I can buy some more.

Crash, baby, crash, baby, crash! C'mon, you can do it!

skyhigh - 10 Mar 2005 11:12 - 98 of 968

Deltex .. no sales to nhs, no contracts/deals = no revenue for deltex = even if it eventually does come through.. it's delayed from what looked likely 6 mnths ago = share price mark down.. = disaster. SP will go down further 12p (imho).. time to buy in again.. but..it will still be speculative!

stockdog - 10 Mar 2005 11:46 - 99 of 968

Arf Dysg - don't forget it is the sheep that allow you to buy in lower.

Skyhigh - awkward name to be attached to this share at present.

DELTEX MEDICAL GROUP
(DEMG:AIM) 20.5p
Shares in Deltex are crashing, with its price chart looking like
the north side of the Eiger. We should have said sell after the
warnings on 17 December and 5 January. Tipped at 27.25p
on 7 October 2004 the shares promptly jumped to 33.5p
before collapsing after the warnings.
Smart investors would have sold at 27p for a small loss if
they followed our 20% trailing stop loss advice.
Deltex hopes to clinch sales of its cardiac monitoring
products to NHS hospitals but there are plenty of competing
devices which seem to have brighter prospects.
SELL

as per your request Stockdog

thanks, hampi-man - or rather, no thanks!

andysmith - 10 Mar 2005 13:15 - 102 of 968

Glad I got out a few weeks ago with small loss!!! BUT still on my watchlist becuase IF and when the deals do come through DEMG should be successful if only they get their before the dosh and support runs out. Can't understand why not implemented when suggestion is that it could save NHS money and reduce waiting times!!! Then again, Blair thinks the NHS is just great and can't be improved by any other means than making us throw more of our income tax at it!!!

stockdog - 10 Mar 2005 13:22 - 103 of 968

Hit my 33% stop loss - so I'm out at 16p.

Will try to buy in lower. Only has to fall to 15.5p to buy in again without loss.

I guess the chart support level of 8p ish is looking at least 50/50 - this sell off smacks of whispers in the wind of bad news on Tuesday.

I'm feeling very brave and grown up!

Stockdog, if you want to a chance to get your profits back and wish to stay in medical, quickly get into MDW before it flies big-time. yesterday as ideal top-up, I thought about but didn't!!!!

stockdog - 10 Mar 2005 14:51 - 105 of 968

thanks for the thought on MDW andysmith - with my usual timing the price has now gone up 1p

write out 500 times - buy low, sell high; buy low, sell high . . . .

andysmith - 10 Mar 2005 14:55 - 106 of 968

True stockdog but it flew beyond 11p a short-time ago when some thought deal would be announced with results. Once deals come through MDW should really take off. <10p is cheap IMO. DEMG worth keeping on your watchlist, its on mine

stockdog - 10 Mar 2005 19:30 - 107 of 968

No, andysmith, I menat the price on DEMG had gone up since I sold at the very bottom of today's prices!

Looking at MDW - interesting. Will I make enough profit on the SP to pay for the equipment I'll need in my dotage?

Don't feel like rushing into anything too hastily, though.

Shares Mag have a lot to answer for - tip it then slate it.

Tumshie11 - 11 Mar 2005 07:37 - 109 of 968

I seem to remember a phrase like "no 1 wealth creation stock" mentioned in the Shares mag article last year - certainly wasn't a wealth creation stock for me!!

skyhigh - 11 Mar 2005 08:33 - 110 of 968

Same 'ere as well. what a pile of sh*te shares mag are. same with RHPS as well. they were tipping it good with a target price of 70/80p !
The only only thing I can do now is to hang on and wait and hope that Deltex eventually does come good one way or another. keep smiling :)

NPoston - 11 Mar 2005 09:03 - 111 of 968

I agree with these sentiments.

I also bought the stock in good faith, but with hindsight (what a wonderful thing!) everytime the share was mentioned some goon from Charles Stanley was available to highlight the growth potential. Like it's not in their interest to talk the stock up!

A broader spectrum of opinion is needed before I invest again in a shares 'Play of the Week'.

stockdog - 11 Mar 2005 09:58 - 112 of 968

Feeling very sore this morning to see it rise of the florr where I finally sold out yesterday!

Watching to see what happens today.

Will this buck the trend and rise strongly on results next Tuesday - or is there more bad sentiment to be washed out of the SP - if the latter I sahll endeavour to buy in lower next week.

Tail between legs!

Trouble is that those irresponsible people in Shares Mag state in issue 10 March " Deltex hopes to clinch sales of its cardiac monitoring products to NHS hospitals but there are plenty of competing devices which seem to have brighter prospects." If that were true, and it seems unlikely, then why did Shares Mag not say so when they made Deltex a "Play of the Week" I dont believe a word and I am staying - remember this is the NHS we are dealing with !!!!

stockdog - 11 Mar 2005 10:46 - 114 of 968

Good luck Oakapples - wish I'd held on for that extra 15 minutes to see the price lift again, but a stop loss is a stop loss and on average it is the correct thing to do to stick to it. Unfortunately, for me this reduced my average this time round.

No mention in RHPSG email update today either where I was rather hoping to find inspiration.

Ah well, older and wiser - go the SEO!
