seem to recall that barclays made similar announcements in past regarding VOG, lots of conjecture at the time. just one explanation put forward and poo poo'd was that they were buying to cover and be able to deliver against some big shorts on their books.
doubt it is the case here though, but who knows? do be careful.

nice fibbo analysis MRSI. you do not state your opinion on "todays bounce".or future price movement or tactic for dealing with. do you have one?

edit; opinion matters less. tactic matters more.

LSE was back in business and the steady opening today and the much stronger bid side on the order book, looks for a bounce from here.
The Fibonacci is saying .........BUY me now, I am ready to bounce back

In the past 27 years, the UK market has risen 23 times in the period from 11 December to 5 January - falling 4 times. The average gain is said to be 2.57%.
Quaterly option expiry falls on 18 December, - markets usually do not fall in option expiry week.
You may do worse than buying Barclays, Mann Group, with contracts for difference.
I really can not guess what GKP is up to now and will leave them alone for the present, but SEY "may" drift up to 6p - 7p with the forthcoming share reorganisation and drilling. It may be worth picking up a few HOIL ?
Those are my tactics - for what it is worth.

Yes thanks for that, all looking good, potentially 10-15 billion barrels and TK sounded as if he would be surprised if the co remained independent. Good luck all holders.

so the boys tell me!
in recent days, it has been more than a little disappointing to see GPK tumbling away.
however, in yesterday's massacre, GPK seems to have been a rarity in finishing comfortably ahead
today has seen that continue strongly, though volumes are no more than adequate - i.e. by no means stronger than usual
