LONDON (Thomson Financial) - "Churchill Mining PLC said it has signed a 30-year thermal coal supply heads of agreement with Indonesia's power utility company PT Ridlatama Bangun Mandiri (PT KBM), adding it will deliver coal at an initial rate of about 840,000 tonnes a year.
The AIM-listed mining company said the rate is at a 5 pct discount to the prevailing market price, and the coal supplied will feed two 30 megawatt power stations PT RBM is building in Kalimantan, Indonesia. Construction starts in early 2008, with the plants expected to be on-stream by mid-2010.
'We are aware that they are looking to building other power stations in Kalimantan, certainly much bigger than these first two plants, and discussions are ongoing on how Churchill can be involved,' joint managing director Paul Mazak said."

"meanwhile tiny Churchill mining struck a rich seam as traders piled in on hearing news of a large supply deal to deliver coal to Indonesian power stations. Trading was temporarily halted as the stock went into 'backwardisation' as punters lapped up the stock in anticipation of further deals".
Times-online......Churchill Mining, a speculators favourite in recent months, was the days top performer on a gain of 24p at 52p after it agreed to supply coal to an Indonesian power company.
Churchill Mining was the top small cap performer, leaping 85 pct in value with a 24 pence jump to 52 after the firmer said it has signed a 30-year thermal coal supply heads of agreement with Indonesia's power utility company PT Ridlatama Bangun Mandiri (PT KBM), adding it will deliver coal at an initial rate of about 840,000 tonnes a year.

I suspect these will go through the roof on monday, the news came too late for many (fri afternoon) so tehy'll be plenty of buyers out for these monday first thing. I'm going to try for 15000 more first thing. Long term and with further deals already being discussed i feel we've not even seen a decent rise yet given they are only just above their float price. Should be a very busy Monday.

I am watching this one , but after such a big rise there is often profit taking . I think it will fall back on monday , only time will tell .

doubt it will stop going up till about thursday. One of the biggest deals ever pulled off by a listed stock. Look what Asia energy did when they announced a large deal!! Think this will be 3 figures at some stage Mon/Tues, alot of interest in this stock now.

I am looking to buy in sub 30p, as this stock is not producing coal for the latest RNS deal until 2010, so there is plenty of time to trade in. There are also 2 more large contracts to be announced shortly, so there is plenty to look forward too. Soon institutions will also want in as the market cap grows, so there will be opportunities to buy in cheap when they do.

MM's suckering investors in again.
Ooh, look. up 3p, and the spread, wow 3p. Don't get suckered. This will probably be down later.
Lots traded out of TMC to get in here, and they've lost on both stocks. Spreads are unfair, and I keep saying that once you've traded out you cant get back in for less.
