LONDON (SHARECAST) - Ormonde Mining has reported positive test results from the La Zarza Gold-Copper Project in southern Spain.

The group said a total of gold recovered from saleable floatation concentrates and gold recovered from pyrite concentrates should be higher than originally targeted.

"The unexpected recovery of a significant proportion of the gold by standard flotation to copper and lead concentrates is a very positive development which gives the company considerable confidence in the testwork programme

Ormonde Spain results 'big step'

December 05, 2005 11:32
Exploration company Ormonde Mining says tests at its La Zarza gold and copper project in Spain show that it can achieve its targets for recovering gold.

'This is an early but very significant step towards proving the viability of the La Zarza project,' said managing director Kerr Anderson.

The tests show that up to 60% of the gold can be recovered by standard flotation procedures.

'With gold breaking $500 per ounce, and now preliminary evidence that both gold and copper recoveries are up to best expectations at La Zarza, Ormonde looks significantly undervalued,' said Davy analyst Job Langbroek.

Must allow time for an answer to be constructed.
edit: will add to that. Anyone pushing a share so much must have an interest in the stock. Why else should anyone encourage people to go into a company, particularly such a little known one. Will you be around to compensate 'investors' if the company goes belly up?
I repeat respectfully what commitment do you have to support your recommendation?

katcenka - 06 Dec 2005 10:21 - 18 of 78

someone in irelands just bought 400k... smart money I would say

Confidant - 06 Dec 2005 10:29 - 19 of 78

They found gold a long time ago -- this latest news just looks at recovery rates

They have c1m oz in the ground around Spain so not too bad but still some way from getting it out. Small mkt cap means little interest and until they get an independent report saying "it's worth this much..." it will trade well below any potential value

Basically it looks cheap but it has done for more than a year. There is some drilling in other areas likely to provide incremental upside. Newsflow to be steady/good rather than dramatic/exciting

Fact is there are 30 or so other stocks like this in oil or metals. This one I must admit looks both better than most and more overlooked

Good for some medium term return of 50 -150% from here but no reason for a straight jump to 24p as the earnings are still years away

katcenka - 06 Dec 2005 10:31 - 20 of 78

if you read the broker notes, it says very undervalued... i.e. when they do get to know the true value, it will be much more than 24p

Confidant - 06 Dec 2005 10:46 - 21 of 78

But they said this in August too....
