Wilmington - too late? or a good time to get in?? (WIL)

hewittalan6 - 03 Feb 2006 12:39

What do we think guys?
Chart looks good and it is tipped as a good buy from TheWrongPrice.com.
P/E is a little heavy but forecast for full year figures (out shortly) are good and there is a forecast of 60% growth in the next 12 months.
DYOR. Have look. Let me know what you think.
To be honest, I can't decide if I have missed the boat or not.

With a forecast of 60% growth in the next 12 months this still looks a good buy. I would buy now or wait and see if the next dip is lower

hewittalan6 - 03 Feb 2006 17:07 - 3 of 27

Perhaps I was right to have a dabble this am.
Up 3.2% today.
We'll see over the next few weeks as the finals are published and the future becomes clearer.

hewittalan6 - 09 Feb 2006 07:50 - 4 of 27

And now they announce an acquisition.
Anyone else interested yet?
Alan

kimoldfield - 09 Feb 2006 09:41 - 5 of 27

I don't want to capsize your boat Alan, but I'm thinking about putting my toe in the water with this one! The take up of Smee is probably a good thing. I can't see a lot of upside in the share price, but the yield should improve, so a good enough long term share.
Kim

hewittalan6 - 09 Feb 2006 09:44 - 6 of 27

Welcome aboard Kim. I don't go for short term punts cos I aint clever enough to spot them, but the managment have a history of slowly but surely growing the business and thats good enough for me.
If it does capsize the lifeboats will be located about 2 miles away with me sat in one waving at you!!
Good luck.
Alan

kimoldfield - 09 Feb 2006 09:51 - 7 of 27

Thanks for that!!

Didn't buy today Alan, put my spares into more Stanelco, but I'm keeping WIL on my wish list (may sell some BPRG to fund a buy!)

More like a proper business than most on these boards. Emphasis on legal/regulatory market should ensure good growth and balance sheet looks in decent shape. Acquisitions make fully understanding the numbers a bit tricky and always a little nervous about people businesses, but this looks big enough not to be likely to suffer from a few leaving. Unexciting, but we all need a few stable ones and imo it should pay for its keep. Good luck with it Alan.

hewittalan6 - 15 Feb 2006 13:47 - 11 of 27

Thanks guys,
Not expecting it to be an overnight multi bagger, but it suits my trading style and I am quietly confident.
Alan

hewittalan6 - 24 Feb 2006 11:21 - 12 of 27

Did anyone else get a few of these?
It does seem to slide very gently and quietly up each few days, without anyone really noticing.

kimoldfield - 24 Feb 2006 12:50 - 13 of 27

Still on my wish list, getting desperate now....it's leaving me behind!

hewittalan6 - 26 Jun 2006 07:58 - 15 of 27

Never expected todays merger annoncement, but I'll take any luck that comes my way in these markets.
Glad I got in when i did because the 2 companies are talking a good fight.
Alan

hewittalan6 - 27 Jul 2006 08:24 - 16 of 27

Roll up, roll up for a bit of roullette.
If the merger happens, its a winner. If the new aggresive bid from the other company takes it, its a loser.
You pay your money and take your chance.
Dontcha just love a bit of a gamble??

hewittalan6 - 10 Oct 2006 08:23 - 17 of 27

Still going strong. i don't think i missed the boat after all!!

Looks like you've done well Alan..... Well done!! A gamble on this going any further though as the bolinger brands suggest. Having said that the analyst trend is 1.33 overweight to buy.

Personally I'd be looking for the sell as the sp has climbed and runaway with itself, let the sp fall to 200 then maybe get back in. There and again didn't think the sp would get this far! Whatever you decide goodluck and enjoy the ride, all uphill I hope if you stay in..

hewittalan6 - 21 Oct 2006 08:44 - 19 of 27

Born lucky, explosive!!
My trading style tends to be to buy in and stay there. I only usually sell out if a "I cannot be missed" opportunity presents itself, because whenever I have conciously tried to trade a share I have always got it wrong. When I trade it by accident, it tends to go right.
Not much of a philosophy and it probably makes me look a right dick, but its worked!!
Keep smiling.
Alan

hewittalan6 - 23 Oct 2006 12:04 - 20 of 27

Explosive,
Looks like todays RNS shows the directors thinking it has a way to go. That and their interdealing with each other tells us they played poker for shares over the weekend!!
Alan

explosive - 23 Oct 2006 19:38 - 21 of 27

Alan,

Couldn't find an RNS today, could you please post as the last one I saw was re: Mercia acquisition.
