DYOR - - - - - - - - - Biom Technologies mid-July 2010 AIM
This is the new resting place for Stanelco, the wonder producer of starch-based food-trays...only they didn't catch on.Over the last 10 years to 2010 the 0.1p shares traded abour 2.5p then shot up to 24p during 2005 with promise of Tray-Trials I understand. Within a year or so, they fell to new depths and finished at 0.2p Of course they were full-list then and some were held in ISA's hoping there would be a big profit...only now these are distressed sales as the Company slunk off to AIM, presumably "...to provide better shareholder-value"
Perhaps someone closer to the Co. can explain why the new name is Biome
....rhymes with Home. Often it is done to remove the previous sp-history.
Could it be..so new investors can bask in ignorance, etc. I'm not aware of any "change" in fortune for SEO, rather the reverse.
In my limited experience, the longer the name of a company the longer you have to wait for any return...Huh . . . . . .
. SEO had been a terrible investment.
DYOR.
Can Biome be any worse...?
EDIT ( 24April2017)- "just woken up" -me not BIOME - sp is 154, but I note about June 2013 there was what looks like a CONsolidation . . do I recall many LT investors were sold-short?... as I believe the (new share) numbers were terrible! . . . Anyone?

Anyone know what the legal situation in France courts regarding appeals? i.e. time permitted before fault/lapse.
It has been 18 months since the French judgment in favour of Biome/Biotec and as there has been no appeal in said French Court {line from email this morning; "With regard to the Novamont litigation against Biotec, there has been no movement on this case from either party since the Court findings in early 2010}" does this mean that they {Novamont} have given up on France case?

Hi Kimoldfield,
Hopefully on R&D!
If as the results of R&D they had sales, and I mean of the magnitude we should be getting, I would agree with you. But it appears every time they come up with a new product such as packaging, tray and film, all those years ago for Asda, cigarette filters, and several other innovations that after multiple RNS's promising so much came to nothing, very little has changed.
Whilst appreciating that Biome is a different company to Seo, in so many ways it is much the same.
An ever declining sp, little info from the company, still loosing money, etc.
On a lighter note.
Be warned, this is a share scam.
I have just been cold called by a broker who offered me 0.30 almost double the buy price 'in valuation' for all my shares in Biome.
I was close to bitting his hand off until he clarified what he meant by 'in valuation'.
It turned out that it was a straight swap for same value of Greek Bonds.
I turned his offer down, mind you it was a close run thing!

Lol Greek!!
I think BIOM are probably missing out on innovation. They should be doing the rounds of the political parties at this minute offering biodegradable paper for them to write their manifestos on!

People on another site have been discusing what the new FD is being paid.
I heard from a contact, they offered the new FD a choice of packages.
1 Salary plus 1,000,000,000 share options at an exercise price of 0.01p, conditional that the sp finished the year at 0.14 or above.
2 Salary plus a 100 gift voucher to spend at Argos.
He must be fairly intelligent, as I understand he went for option 2!

Recommended as a buy by Daniel Stewart, target price 0.0041p. Exciting, when compared with the present 0.0017! Yes ok, Daniel Stewart is BIOM joint broker! Ominously, my Stockwatch has BIOM sp showing as nil!
