BLINX and you've missed it, the next google multi bagger!!! (BLNX)

Still Waiting - 25 Jul 2008 23:22

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

Well, you may be right about a couple of things, but you continue to wrong about the Tote.

Isaacs - 31 Aug 2010 07:48 - 2682 of 6187

Haystack - why do you care if he posts what you think is nonsense? I think you are obsessed and perhaps need another hobby (or at least another thread.) You are not even interested in trading BLNX.

I've been out of touch today having had a day of meetings, but find I've been stopped out and reversed again on BLINKX - am being whipsawed all over the place, but am short again - having lost 5.5points on first short and 3.5points on long. Am currently 2 points in profit on short.

Who'd be a trader?

chessplayer - 31 Aug 2010 14:46 - 2685 of 6187

Agreed, why not just buy,and save a lot of aggro.
Methinks this stock is only going one way,and that is up.

tabasco - 01 Sep 2010 11:08 - 2686 of 6187

chessplayer - 01 Sep 2010 11:19 - 2687 of 6187

Yes, a new high.
The trouble is,a lot of them can't stop banging their heads against a brick wall .
My advice to them is to take a break. You'd be surprised how much better it feels!

ravey davy gravy - 01 Sep 2010 14:47 - 2688 of 6187

Tabasco.

Agree with the traders theory, they cannot wait to get out of stocks rather than
stay in them, mm's just know all they have to do is drop one quote on L2 and they
are flock to give their stock back to them especially in the small oil and mining stocks, Blnx does surprise me because i've never really liked it even when it was
20p but i wont be deramping it here but catch them when sentiment is hot and it
dont matter what the fundamentals say they keep rising, i'd be tempted to sell 10% into each 10% new rise just to be safe in the knowledge that you have got some out at the high if they do start to fall back medium term.

tabasco - 01 Sep 2010 16:21 - 2689 of 6187

RDGall investors have different financial backgroundsand so have their own price/profit strategy.cut your cloth etc I would never argue your or any other investors theoryI would just say back your judgementand be patient! good luck with your stock picks

ITN has struck a deal to provide video clips to the free daily newspaper Metro.

From today, ITN will syndicate video including UK news, world news, sports and showbiz to Metro.co.uk, as the title, which is owned by the Daily Mail & General Trust, looks to expand its digital offering.

Metro distributes 1.3m copies every weekday in 16 cities across the UK, while Metro.co.uk publishes to 2.5 million monthly unique users in the UK.

Jamie Walters, digital director of the Metro, said: "We are really excited to be able to offer our users of Metro.co.uk more choice in the way they consume their online news."

Metro joins a host of UK publishers taking video content from ITN, in which DMGT has a 20% stake. Earlier this year the broadcaster began providing video news to AOL UK, syndicating hundreds of hours of video news to the company which has pledged to be the "largest net hirer of journalists in the world". It also added local newspaper company Iliffe News & Media to its Premium News Network video syndication package, which includes advertising provided by Blinkx.

Chart still indicates short from100p, but will re-evaluate when and if it gets there.

jkd - 02 Sep 2010 03:23 - 2691 of 6187

pth
price closed at 78.75. your post seems pretty confident price will rise to 100 at which point it is likely to be a short, but may not be, it will be re-evaluated when and if it gets there.i should like to comment on this . before u know who jumps in.
now much as i dislike t's attitude, demeanour, arrogance, and everything else about him, which i do. just because he seems to champion this stock dont make him wrong on this occasion, even if he has been on many others. after all law of averages says that eventually he will get one right. and when he does you can bet your bottom dollar he is going to give it everything it is worth and maybe more in terms of fronting out his rightness and never being wrong and running down all and anyone who disagrees with him. along the way he may pick up a few new followers such as chessplayer. he , chessplayer is probably not aware of what happened to t's other followers of his losing stocks and posts who t simply used and discarded after they had served their purpose and he certainly aint going to make him aware either.
work out your hes and hims for yourself.
anyway chart to me, as of today says up.how far i dont know. but i aint buying. i aint selling either.
as always all just my opinion.
regards to you

Hi there folks,
I don't think we are on this site (Money AM) as part of some popularity contest. If they are, then there plenty who are not doing very well at scoring points. Not with me at any rate.
If somebody makes a hatful of money I reckon that they are entitled to gloat once in a while, for there isn't much to crow about when you lose it.

tabasco - 02 Sep 2010 08:13 - 2693 of 6187

JKDI am very hurtof course you are entitled to say you dislike my attitude demeanour arrogance.. and everything else about mein the same way most people that actually know me think I am smartwitty debonair and very rarely wrong did I miss out handsome and a Gentleman?
Right let me ask you to clarify your postfirst of all I am very rarely wrongand quite luckyyou might be able to quote one loser against my namethe law of averages says that eventually I will get one wrongbut please post up all the others that you claim I have failed onI am confident you wont find anyif you do I will post ten winners to each of yoursquite a good return I would say!
The other point that you made washe may pick up a few new followers such as chessplayer. he , chessplayer is probably not aware of what happened to t's other followers of his losing stocks and posts who t simply used and discarded after they had served their purposewho exactly are you talking aboutand what are the losing stocksif I like and respect someoneI will stay loyal irrespective if our views differAndyKimCynicDealerSkinny are just a few examples off the top of the headapologies to the many others
I do not like or respect you or the rest of the gangplease name posters that you claim I have used and dumped?I am still friendly with many of the posters from mdx days
That was a nasty comment that highlights the reasons for my dislike of yourself!
So let me just once again ask you to confirmall my losing stocks that you claimedand the posters that I have discardedfor anyone else reading thisJKD will not answerthat I am confident of as his post is untrue!!!

I have said all along I expected the SP to hit 100p, that it wasn't a short when others were saying it was and I haven't seen anything to change my opinion. But as we both know, TA changes on a daily basis and we'll see what happens, 100p may not be hit at all but there is going to massive divergence unless the SP really does rocket away. From what I've read and a gander at the accounts, the company doesn't merit that sort of valuation, but then the market will make up its own mind. As far as tabasco is concerned, he can say what he likes, throw enough darts and eventually one will hit the target. The BB is a little bit quieter for me without him, funnily enough I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

hilary - 02 Sep 2010 08:47 - 2695 of 6187

My kids have "Selective Hearing". They never hear me when I ask them to empty the dishwasher as an example, yet they always seem to hear whenever I ask if they'd like ice cream.

"Selective Memory" is very similar in many ways and includes people who are never wrong forgetting to mention piles of cr@p like Meldex.

tabasco - 02 Sep 2010 09:00 - 2696 of 6187

Hilaryif you say the same oldsame old to your kidsthey dont have a selective memorythey are bored same as the lucky thicko!listen to them sometimesyou might get a pleasant surprise come on JKD post it up!

hilary - 02 Sep 2010 09:15 - 2697 of 6187

Same old, same old presumably includes every single post saying how you're a lucky thicko who's never wrong. Maybe people are bored hearing it.

Just a thought.

ravey davy gravy - 02 Sep 2010 09:17 - 2698 of 6187

Or every single post where we ask you to be nice hilary but you respond
with abuse !

hilary - 02 Sep 2010 09:18 - 2699 of 6187

No, it's only you I abuse, Dickhead. Tabster's actually quite likeable in his own little way!

ravey davy gravy - 02 Sep 2010 09:22 - 2700 of 6187
