All, you should thank yourselves, cause you made the decision to buy and to hold on - that at the end of the day is your own decision.

The trouble you are seeing now is that the city, the media, the brokers, the swing traders, the dealing companies and many others DO NOT WANT YOU TO BUY AND HOLD.

Not because the story is not great and there is not potential for 500% to 700% gains in the coming 18 months.


Its because they all make their money by private investors buying and selling, buying and selling.

They all have new "buy notes" to release, new placings to get away and if your money is invested in one company long term then you are of no use to them, so they will attempt to portray things to persuade you to sell, if RHK is not a client of theirs or if they are not interested in RKH.

Swing traders and shorters need panic and buying and selling, they love volatility and if people buy and lock the shares away it reduces the volatility they can create and so reduces their chances for making money.

Of course the spread bet companies, margin companies and dealers want you buying and selling, thats how they make money on spreads and commissions and the like, they do not want you to buy and hold long term.

So, with all those forces against you, all trying to get you to sell, telling you the price is too high, nothing going on, fully valued for now, hey there is a better stock and its one we can sell to you...... all that stuff is in your face.


Thats why you must not lose the focus - RKH has a huge Sea Lion to appraise and excellent other prospects (updates on their inventory of prospects is coming with the new CPR).

18 months, buy and hold, lock them away, no stop losses set, save yourself lots of money from dealing charges, stamp duty and commission - just be patient and wait and enjoy the ride to Dec 2011 :) !!

No news for ages.....that's the trouble.....might settle around this mark for a couple of months.....

Proselenes - how can you be so sure re subsequent RNS - last line of RNS reads 'Rockhopper now intends to plug and abandon the well as planned' and gives no further details regarding next steps as far as I can see?

he means if not before defo an rns re AGM.,.

gildph - in the RNS they tell you they will be updating shortly on the prospect inventory.

And.......... the 30th Sept is the AGM, so there will be an RNS that day and they will have to update before the AGM opens as so many people will be going and asking questions.

So you are sure an RNS will be out before the AGM, which is the 30th Sept.

Holding around the 500p today, a very strong performance for DES, up over 10p a bit earlier now only 6p and loosing ground

Could be no more wells for RKH until next year...but they do have a position in DES's next one.....question is ?...is it worth being in here for the result ?....either way can't go up my much but then again these "Foilkie" stocks move with sentiment.....hence DES's rise which is just based on hope....
