According To Pete
PETE could be perfect. Yorkshire’s great hope is, like Compo, Clegg and Foggy, getting better with age. Enjoyed a nice warm-up at Kelso.

The poor thing has had to be put down - how terribly sad. Did a few and didn't get anywhere with anything most of them fell. How did you do DC?

Sad news 3m. He fell over a faller at the 23rd jump. Thought we had an outside chance at that point, as he was 4th or 5th. Should make the jumps less severe.
That was the only horse I have ever bet on.

As I said before I only ever have a little flutter once a year on the Grand National - agree they should make the jumps less severe. I hate to know that any horse has lost its life doing what it is suppose to enjoy doing. I won't loose any sleep over the small amount of cash I lost today not like Petes owner, trainer etc. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Oil canot be taken out of the ground and be immediately stored in tanks, or be shipped to some foreign refinery to be refined.
The RVP of the oil has to be reduced by removing excess gas from the oil so that it is stable enough to be shipped. Crude tankers are not built to handle high pressure liquids so the RVP has to be reduced.
Also many impurities may have to be removed, salt for instance. If the salt content is high, it will enhance corrosion in the tankers, and the recipient tanks, so they will have a maximum salt content that they will carry, laid down by the shipping authorities / tanker owners.
So, basically the crude has to be de-gassed and probably desalted as a minimum before any of it can be shipped to market.
De-gassifying means building a plant with de-ethanisers,, de-butinisers, de-propanisers, depending on the exact make up of the crude oil, meaning that they can also sell refined gas to the markets.
There is a short cut to pump these gasses back down the wells to enhance the pressures in the field, but I am not really sure if this can be done without at least some of the separation plant being installed as mentioned above.
Desalters are basically water injection vessels, pumping in fresh water to wash the salt out of the crude oil, then taking the lighter crude oil off at the top of the vessels, and removing the water from the bottom. Again, that would need plant built to somehow dispose of the salty water, unless it could also be pumped to the bottom of the well to retain pressures.
Simultaneously, jetties, or single buoy moorings / single point moorings would have to be in place to be able to load the tankers. Jetties only for handling gas.
The above plant would take at least a year to build, with the planning etc taking just as long, if not more. I cannot see them being able to sell crude oil to the markets for at least two years.

Take it you mean the above 3m. Perhaps thats why they have choosen BP. I would think thats the kind of work they will assist on.
I have no idea how long it will take RRL and its partners to prove up the area. There must be more then the two drills we know of.
I would think as soon as commercial oil is found,( if thats true above ) the likes of BP would be on the case )
Only again guessing - this is not going to be proved up over night. Might take
12/18 months atleast. (guess)
May just all fall into place nicely.
Then the Chinease and Americans can fight for it (not war lol) and RRL share holders
should laugh all the way to the bank. Thats of course if oil is found.

Its going to be into August before TD on the second drill. Does any investors know if these two wells are then sold ? or are the two whole areas proved up before a sale ?
Cannot see Range being given a cheque before the likes of infrustructure is in place. Of course the above is on oil being found otherwise not a problem.

Too much for this oil lady to understand - the only phylosophy I have is:- that they have other assets and may they come quickly into fruition.

PL did promise a Horn up date at 10pm our time ( That was the last update posted)
and it came through bang on time. Going on this he has promised a significant update for Georgia. There has been talk of a Colombia one as well.
Georgia - The first drill they were going to return at a later stage. That would be a sp booster to hear good news on that front. Otherwise a possible spud date for the second drill.
