Gerponville18 - 10 Oct 2012 09:33 - 322 of 523

70m Shares traded........No RNS...........Whats happening?

No complaints from me.

Would be good to get some update though.

queen1 - 10 Oct 2012 12:49 - 323 of 523

Agreed Gerponville18, it's always nice to take a profit. Mind you, having seen the SP then go up another 50% from my part-sale price I was kicking myself. Good news for both of us though that's it's continued its rise :)

halifax - 10 Oct 2012 13:55 - 324 of 523

falling back on profit taking.

queen1 - 11 Oct 2012 13:01 - 325 of 523

Indeed but back up again today which is very encouraging.

halifax - 12 Oct 2012 13:34 - 326 of 523

sp bouncing around today after RNS stating Mohamed Fayed had acquired 86m shares.

Gerponville18 - 12 Oct 2012 13:54 - 327 of 523

Certainly a mega amount of shares........But, £1.1M ish to that Gentleman is loose change. Good to know he is on board though..........If True?

I feel the sp will settle for a while, and then gradually rise on good news breakout, through RNS reports. Reading other boards, hell of a lot of ramping going on!

Good luck everyone.

Sound Oil narrowed its full-year pretax loss to £4.8 million, from a loss of £5.6 million, and said the year had been one of significant positive change for the company.

"The Company is now focused firmly on growth firstly through developing its exciting Italian assets, including the Nervesa and Laura discoveries and the Badile and Zibido exploration prospects," Sound Oil said in a statement.

It was seeking to growth both the size and diversity of its portfolio by acquiring companies and assets in the Mediterranean region that met its criteria for operated and accretive growth.

"In short, the Company is now well positioned with a clear growth strategy, strong financial and operational discipline, some £6.9m cash in the bank and an attractive Italian portfolio with game-changing potential across which we control our own destiny."

Looking ahead, Sound Oil said 2013 was already promising to be a significant year for the company, having reached the strategic milestone of delivering first gas at the Rapagnano Field so earning the Company's first revenue since our listing in 2005.

"The Company is about to begin drilling our first appraisal well on the Nervesa gas discovery. Assuming a successful appraisal well, we will prepare for a second appraisal well and commence development planning to move this flagship project into production as soon as possible. We are also pressing ahead with plans to appraise Laura, a significant offshore discovery, and with our exciting onshore exploration prospects Badile and Zibido, we are preparing for an ambitious drilling programme in 2014."

queen1 - 17 Jul 2013 13:13 - 332 of 523

Excellent news :)

Sound Oil has confirmed a gas discovery following the recent Nervesa appraisal drilling. Mud log gas shows were recorded while drilling across multiple sandstone intervals in the target reservoir zone within the Miocene San Dona Formation.

"Whilst a comprehensive technical review is now required to confirm the size of the discovery, it appears sufficiently large to deliver important cash flows and provide funding alternatives for the 2014 drill programme," said CEO James Parsons.

Sound Oil has now completed logging operations and confirms the identification of 476 metres (true vertical depth) of gross pay and 239 metres (true vertical depth) of gross reservoir with 46 metres (true vertical depth) of net gas pay in 13 separate zones.

Planning for completion operations has now commenced with a view to providing the necessary well test data for certification by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.

A further announcement confirming the estimated quantity of commercial gas and expected cash flows will follow once the Company has fully reviewed the well test results and revised the subsurface model for the field.

Following completion of testing, it is the Company's intention to apply for a Production Concession - with a view to achieving first gas sales in 2015.

"Beyond Nervesa we are now able to execute our well prepared second phase of the plan which includes further preparing the Company for success at Laura (30 Bscf, Euro 66 million NPV) and Badile (175 Bscf, Euro 302 million NPV), introducing institutional investors to the register and growth through acquisition," Parsons said.

Worrier - 27 Aug 2013 00:21 - 333 of 523

with Nervesa results due so soon, i'm surprised there's not more coverage and comments on here?
not worried

queen1 - 27 Aug 2013 12:24 - 334 of 523

I'm keeping my fingers crossed Worrier!

queen1 - 04 Sep 2013 12:22 - 335 of 523

Sound Oil has confirmed a positive well test at the onshore Nervesa discovery in Northern Italy. The well test achieved a stabilised total gas flow rate of 2.7 MMscfd from multiple sandstone intervals in the Upper Miocene San Dona Formation using a dual string completion.

Sound Oil also confirmed that, following a revision of its reservoir model for the full field, the P50 estimate of recoverable gas resources at Nervesa has increased from 21 Bcf (with an estimated NPV10 of $58m) to 24 Bcf (with an estimated NPV10 of circa $66m).

Following these successful results, the Company will continue with its plans to:

- apply for a Production Concession with a view to achieving first gas sales at Nervesa in 2015;

- drill a second well at Nervesa, addressing the Southern part of the structure; and

- secure a Reserve Based Lending ("RBL") facility to provide funding for the next stage of Sound Oil's development;

This is excellent news for Sound. So can someone please explain to me why the SP has tanked by almost 10%, making it one of the biggest fallers on the market today?!
