Earthport: Ready to fly (EPO)

jdubb - 04 Mar 2004 17:44

Some good news at last from this weeks Shares mag. Tim Freeborn revisits the company and altho no firm details are given about new deals he says they will be announced this quarter. I would think that this could be at the same time as the interim results are announced. I for one will be holding on cos they will fly sooner rather than later! ( 8.30% up today!)

Jonny, you really ought to declare your interest here: disgruntled ex-EPO employee who always has to have someone to blame.

I have you filtered on ADVFN and you are now on filter on MoneyAM too.

Ref Tim Freeborns post 6/5/04

Can you confirm Tim are these typo errors of yours or are you trying to mislead your readers:-

..Cashflow positive 2nd qtr - now delayed to 3rd qtr
..Chinese contract generating cash July - now delayed to Oct
..Takeover of US deal imminent - DD delays/ staff illness/banking approval?
..Post Office signed in January - still not signed
..British Airways - was that mentioned?
..Neteller 7% fees - is that confirmed by Neteller?
..Ensurepay launch in US via partner in 2 weeks - still not launched?
..July note from Bridgewell - did broker forget he was getting married?
..Baltimore security sys not delivered - only discovering that now? 3 yearslater
..No rights issue or further fundraising..was it the same CEO that told u this?

Have probably missed a couple of points will add them in when i remember.

I'm not trying to conceal my identity in any way as far as Rob Cunningham is concerned, i'm pretty sure, as this board is owned and operated by shares magazine, and as Tim and Rob appear to have a healthy relationship then i'm pretty sure its possible my real identity which is correctly registered has already been disclosed, if not info is easily obtained, i've nothing to hide.

Anyway i've nothing personal against RC, he knows better than most as a shareholder its my right to voice my opinion as and when i choose, the best way to shut me up is for EPO to deliver results.

Finally i've no intention of continuing to post here as i've already made my position very clear on ADVFN board, theres nothing more to add, anyway my posts to date here have been directed to Tim Freeborn whom it appears is acting like me in good faith.

bloody hell, it seems a few feathers have been ruffled, Im going to sit on the fence a little but confirm my interest in EPO to be circa 500,000 shares.

What I find curious is so many people are looking for a totally impartial fountain of news or knowledge, I'm a firm believer that you must treat every thing with scepticism in the first instance until you can qualify and cross reference the information.

Surely if you read anything from TF you take in to account 1. He has a vested interest that He has made public knowledge and 2. that there's a reasonable chance that He's a bit closer to the source and thefore perhaps the truth than some.

Insider trading or trading with some form of advantageous insight is universal isn't it?

On a more important note has any one any idea why 20 million shares traded today?

toldmeso - 20 Jul 2004 17:58 - 325 of 706

Hi mikeowen, maybe I can help.

In one of earthports RNS, the interims there was a section heading "AsiaPac alliance" which discussed the Hong Kong deal (Chinese contract generating cash July - now delayed to Oct).

It states " Issue of cards commenced in Q4 2003 and the payments service is expected to go live on July 1 2004 and to be fully operational by December 2004.

Fully operational normally implies its satisfied the clients requirements and goes LIVE, LIVE by December 2004.

Hope that helps.

Paulvoigt, there was a 8 million rollover. I'd say the price drifted down to possibly allow the rollover to happen, so I expect a substantial rise over the next few days.

Hope that helps thanks and have a good day.

Paulvoigt - 21 Jul 2004 15:57 - 326 of 706

No news, a mickey mouse 1 million shares traded and our broker friends want to mark it down again.

I must be clueless.

alderleyedge - 21 Jul 2004 22:41 - 327 of 706

looks like double bottom to me,hope it doesnt lie!

drunker50 - 21 Jul 2004 23:59 - 328 of 706

re: toldmeso
I dont think you will see any substantial rises until earthport ends its legal wrangles, even good news like contract wins won't do much to the price cos it could all be wiped away in the courts

Here is the reason, confirmation of money wasted on lawyers.

earthport plc

earthport's claim against Baltimore Technologies plc ('Baltimore')

earthport can confirm that it has today issued a High Court claim against
Baltimore. The claim relates to a series of agreements entered into in March
2001 and claims the return of 4.5m paid under contracts, as well as damages for
breach of contract and misrepresentation estimated at a figure in excess of 9m.

Yea. If I felt cheated out of 4+ million I would just turn my cheek. Probably more likely to show my options.

Baughfell - 22 Jul 2004 20:54 - 331 of 706

Damned if they do and damned if they don't. What a set of whingers

jonny wilkinson - 22 Jul 2004 22:22 - 332 of 706

Tim Freeborn

Still awaiting your response, if you need more time just say, better taking time with a considered reponse rather than kneejerk reply.

JW, what a sad pathetic post...............at least TF does not hide behind a false name............if you want to get personal with him then do the honourable thing and declare your interest in EPO and your name. You can do this by sending it in an email to TF....I'm sure you can get hold of his email by contacting Shares mag. I am not interested in knowing this and if you can't do it then stay on the other board that you frequent. You may raise some interesting points but then you get too personal.....just my thoughts but it has been said many times on the other board also.

a3s5m3 - 23 Jul 2004 16:58 - 334 of 706

does anyone know ? , is the afx ( 11.21 ) message the same as the RNS message ( 11.44 )
oneill, why are you so pleased , do you want epo to go tits up ?

a3s5m3 - 23 Jul 2004 17:02 - 335 of 706

sorry , wrong way round.
rns 11.21 , afx 11.44

Paulvoigt - 26 Jul 2004 09:20 - 336 of 706

Again you have to ask your self does 650,000 shares, "I'm not far away from this size holding" really have the power to move a stock 8% the wrong way.

We have all seen 20 million plus days have only a minor impact, I'm convinced the only reason can be the smaller investor is been squeezed out of the game by fear fuleled by the market makers them selevs.

As for the legal stuff, does any one actually think the Baltimore thing is going to costs millions through legal expenses?

Perhaps EPO has a case who knows but until now they have done nothing, Baltimore is nearing the end game with its cash but can not afford to be litagating etc because it has the potential to de rail their plans.

So no doubt there will be a settlement but not at any thing like the levels EPO are claiming, its just the opening gambit timed to make it in Baltimores interest to cough up something.

IMHO of course.

Sudden drop this morning & then back up again!

If that was a tree shake then it didn't really work.

Perhaps something is about to happen?

timfreeborn - 26 Jul 2004 12:15 - 338 of 706

I've not checked this bulletin board for a week or so. But I have checked my notes from January, March and May and they correspond to what I've written. Any gap between these and events as they have unfolded, or not unfolded, is a matter for Earthport to explain. Somebody queried Neteller's margins. Just consult their flotation document and results.
Like everyone else, I simply wait for real announcements and I judge the company by their arrival or non-arrival.

Tradx - 26 Jul 2004 12:36 - 339 of 706

Tim,

I completely understand your clarification, your position seems pretty clear to me. I personally only have one question, do you still standby your statement that they have done a deal with the Post Office and that it is simply held up by the cabinet?

On 'other' threads you have effectively been accused of making it up and that the whole deal is a fabrication. For what it is worth, I have said and will continue to say that I do not believe you would do such a thing.

Best regards

T..
