if i had known the charts would distract us from recipies for this long i wouldn't have posted them!

all good chartest points guys. the key for me though is that the fundamentals are strong so i have confidence to pursue a buy on dip strategy.

It's easy to get sucked into that, but I took moneys advice and am trying out a new policy with stocks, i.e. short term hold after a fall, due to market sentiment.

Seell on a profit what ever it is.

Iknow it shoes below the starting price, but it does not show is that those I have sold are in a plus by near 2 k.

I miss the cut and thrust of this thread and the jockeying for position between the bulls and the bears. More important than that though, the thread seems to have been devoid of recipes recently. With summer nearly upon us, I was looking at the Weber BBQ website yesterday and I thought that you might like to know that they've got a list of great recipes for the barbie on-line here.

At the risk of being repetitive................

I've done the kids and her indoors, (actually she's out at work!!), a nice Swedish meatballs in pasta with a Dolmio cheese and tomato pasta bake sauce.

Topped it with Sainsbury thick sliced maple cure bacon over cheddar cheese, and sprinkled parmesan over the top.

I've put it in the oven in the jolly old Chicken Brick at it's lowest setting, and I can then serve it when they are all in around 3.30pm, don't matter if they are all late it will be fine.

Everything is red here except PMO, I am 1/3rd in cash and have no plans at the moment to spend it, it's difficult to pick out when stocks are at a bargain price, especially after I read the chartists view for the end of May in the Sunday Times................. the return of the Bear Market(they say).

I'll keep and eye, but I dont care if I miss the turn up again.

I have watched MMG with interest, not at all sure what to make of it so I have stayed out. Evel Knievel had a bit of sport with the holders over on advfn, but I suspect he left the room a couple of weeks ago, without telling anyone. They carried on writing as though he was there and got hurt when the price went up.

Made interesting reading if you dont hold, sorry to say people are the same the World over, including me.

He was quite candid in his comments as to why he was shorting the stock, but the majority saw it as a direct assault on themselves and acted defensively, by lashing out.

As I have done the same here on occassion I understand how they felt. I must remember to respect everyones opinion I would like to think I am a nicer person than that!

Bit of a down day on oils all round bar 3 which are up. US oil inventories out at 3.30 UK time so sometimes accounts for down Wednesdays in oils.

The pasta bake was fantastic!!

Plain old salad today with a baked spud done outside the chicken brick although they can be cooked inside. The skin crisps biut does not burn.

I am still not tempted to spend my 1/3 cash.

Thinking this is going to go on for a while by the looks of things.

One or too obvious punts are really struggling today, glad I dont dont them.

The drop in oil overnight did nothjing to help anyone.

Very odd.

Normally one side or the other benefits from a good drop, but in this case neither did.

My oils watchlist only shows BP and CHP up, the rest slightly down or unchanged. Little volume here today, perhaps everyone sitting on their hands and waiting for the 9th.

BUR is really taking a dive for no apparent reason imo.

Almost but not quite tempted @ 4.80p...........

Looking at my watchlist, it seems that those being hit hardest are some of the more speculative oils out there. I'm sure you can guess which ones they are. Perhaps some froth coming out of the sector, which I guess would be no bad thing as the good companies will still be sorted from the "highly spec" ones.

Bur looks like it may be near a recent support at 480. If DNX falls some more then I might have some.

About time too imo.

The thing about resource stocks, especially the junior oil/mining ones is that a few really bad apples can give the sector a bad reputation. How many times will we hear of companies "hoping to drill something in perhaps a few years" or "looking to acquire assets" but giving no timescale. Thats all fine and well if these things are only a small part of a companies portfolio of assets, but when thats all they have or come to market with then they seem to get ramped up price wise and fall back just as fast or even faster. Im sure lots of people got badly burned in these stocks. Funny how PET springs to mind here!

I am highly suspicious of CSH.

Have youn noticed, they drill holes find oil and start producing, never a word about flow rates and possible reserves.

Not really followed CSH, but the chart speaks volumes, as does the chart for MRP and COP. Come to market, shoot up and the fall sharply.

It does seem very strange that they find oil and can extract it but give no indication of flow rates. Unless they know but are not informing the market. Wouldnt inspire confidence in me to keep holding if I held or buy.

White Nile is also another fiasco.

A lot of people will loose a lot of money and they can't do a thing about it.
