Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

Socrates - 29 May 2005 08:28 - 4421 of 24230

Good morning one and all, I just know its going to be a good one (as the actress said to the bishop).

Socrates - 29 May 2005 14:10 - 4422 of 24230

Time for a break from window cleaning, hedge trimming etc. I fancy snorkers for lunch today.

Big Al - 29 May 2005 18:14 - 4423 of 24230

Traps for mice and now a bunny running into the garden.

Dogs in hot pursuit, but they missed it. I'll have to shop for dinner now

Socrates - 30 May 2005 10:27 - 4424 of 24230

Good heavens, it's today again.

snoball - 30 May 2005 10:30 - 4425 of 24230

As always Socs, you are right.
Good morning.

Socrates - 30 May 2005 10:44 - 4426 of 24230

Good morning Snoball, darned quiet here recently. I'll make a cuppa, it must be time for elevenses.

Socrates - 30 May 2005 11:02 - 4427 of 24230

I have to go out for a while. It's cheese rolling day in Gloucestershire.

jeffmack - 30 May 2005 11:57 - 4428 of 24230

Its good to be back. Couldnt connect to the internet from home since Thursday. Called pipex support and had to change a setting on my router. I didnt change anything so must be a mystery gremlin.

Spaceman - 30 May 2005 13:05 - 4429 of 24230

I am still in norfolk and its raining, on the other hand it isnt snowing and oddly we dont have any sea mist here either. I have have also noticed no wild foxes in my mothers garden this morning buts thats normal I have never seen any there.

chocolat - 30 May 2005 13:27 - 4430 of 24230

Nor I, Spacie.
But that's probably because I've never been in your mother's garden.

Socrates - 30 May 2005 14:41 - 4431 of 24230

Spaceman

There's a funny coincidence, I've never seen a wild fox in your mother's garden either. Perhaps they are camouflaged?

snoball - 30 May 2005 14:48 - 4432 of 24230

Neither have I. But perhaps that is because I've never been to Spacie's mother's foxe's hideout in spacie's mother's garden.
Are the apostropys in the right place's?

Socrates - 30 May 2005 14:57 - 4433 of 24230

Yes, and no!

Spaceman - 30 May 2005 22:19 - 4434 of 24230

Its starting to look as though I am not the only one to notice the lack of foxes in my mothers garden. I wonder if there are others who don't have any foxes in their mothers garden. This sounds like a new BBC nature program, they could have Bill Oddie (or preferably that Kate woman) staking out various mothers gardens in the hope of not seeing any foxes. That should make riveting TV.

chocolat - 30 May 2005 22:24 - 4435 of 24230

Oh no, Spacie - my mother definitely has foxes in her garden.

But they're not wild - does that count?

Spaceman - 30 May 2005 22:35 - 4436 of 24230

Sorry chocky I dont think anyone will be interested in mothers gardens that do have foxes (wild or otherwise) in them, I am pretty sure they want to know about mothers gardens lacking any foxes. I know I do ;-)

I dont think your mum will get a visit from Bill or Kate, although thinking about it a bit more they may well need to check the garden to ensure that there are foxes there otherwise you mother could be accused of claiming foxes when in fact she does not have any.

optomistic - 30 May 2005 22:47 - 4437 of 24230

It's time a society was formed for the protection of non existant foxes. Nice to see such interest in this hard to find species.
Evening all.

Socrates - 30 May 2005 23:15 - 4438 of 24230

Maybe they are green foxes so you can't see them against the grass! A bit like elephants who paint their toenails red so that you can't spot them in cherry trees. It must work because I've never seen an elephant in a cherry tree.

Now I am off to bed, work again tomorrow. Goodnight all.

chocolat - 30 May 2005 23:44 - 4439 of 24230

I dunno, Socs - would that explain not being able to tell the difference between a filing cabinet and an elephant sitting on your lawn?

STORMCALLER - 31 May 2005 02:41 - 4440 of 24230

OOPS, knew I shouldn't have tried out one of the new hammocks, far too comfortable, haven't slept so well in ages, better leave before I am tempted back!
Still, the good news is I should be well rested for the week to come:-)
G'night all

Gotta blow
