The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

I have never shorted anything. I stopped short term trading a long time ago.

cynic - 12 Jul 2013 14:21 - 4542 of 6187

ah, so no balls then?

Haystack - 12 Jul 2013 14:37 - 4543 of 6187

Money tied up in other things. I don't subscribe to the 'my balls are bigger than yours' style of investment.

cynic - 12 Jul 2013 14:42 - 4544 of 6187

of course you do, but if you have money to place long, then assuredly you have money to place short, even if some minor juggling required - simples!

tabasco - 12 Jul 2013 15:01 - 4545 of 6187

Strawman…if you have no financial interest…you certainly have time on your hands…FFS buy a dog!

Haystack - 12 Jul 2013 15:08 - 4546 of 6187

I don't need a financial interest to discuss a stock. I dare say you could just ignore my posts if you don't find them to your liking. You could filter me if that would make you feel better. I doubt that my comments would affect the SP, so if I were you, I would just get used to reading my posts or ignore them. It is all the same to me.

cynic - 12 Jul 2013 15:19 - 4547 of 6187

why do you feel you should not be mocked? ...... for an alleged adult you really are hilariously thin-skinned at times

btw, i see you don't actually answer the question as to why you don't short this stock which you clearly think is hopelessly over-valued etc etc

Haystack - 12 Jul 2013 15:36 - 4548 of 6187

cynic
I don't mind being mocked. In fact I am pretty thick skinned. My comments weren't directed at you. I don't have any strong reason for not shorting. It doesn't appeal. I am happier judging when to close longs. I am interested in the process though. As it happens, I think that I would have made more money in the past with shorts as my negative views on stocks have been more reliable than the positive ones, especially in the tech area.

cynic - 12 Jul 2013 15:46 - 4549 of 6187

ah, that is only the case after the event - trust me! ..... i confess i rarely short too, and if i do, it's usually the indices, and get that wrong with monotonous regularity as i do when going long :-)

tabasco - 12 Jul 2013 15:52 - 4550 of 6187

Strawman...."I don't need a financial interest to discuss a stock." ......don't take this the wrong way....but i don't believe you!

tabasco - 12 Jul 2013 16:00 - 4551 of 6187

Strawman…when pressure was put on this stock… You were working night and day on many BB’s with a different Nom de plume…and writing the most outrageous garbage I have ever read…

You don’t have a financial interest…yeh ok?

goldfinger - 12 Jul 2013 16:15 - 4552 of 6187

skinny - 12 Jul 2013 16:29 - 4553 of 6187

I know this site is short of punters, but you lot are like a pack of marauding wild dogs.

tabasco - 12 Jul 2013 16:30 - 4554 of 6187

Yes Goldfinger….he posts on iii as well....the guy comes across as a, “you don’t want to do it like this”…when in fact he is a devious, “I’ve conned you to do it like that!”

A dangerous pensioner, and his old mate Elephant Man is just the same….both a liability to the success of £AM.

tabasco - 12 Jul 2013 16:35 - 4555 of 6187

Skinny....Sometime’s you need wild dogs to catch a wild cat!

goldfinger - 12 Jul 2013 16:48 - 4556 of 6187

Gausie - 12 Jul 2013 17:03 - 4558 of 6187

Goldie - tell Clem Gausie says hi.

Haystack - 12 Jul 2013 17:05 - 4559 of 6187

Good

Who is Elephant Man?

Still a crap stock.

chessplayer - 12 Jul 2013 18:25 - 4560 of 6187

If Haystack or Gausie have an interest in this stock other than to deride it , let them state it now. What I fail to understand, and I expect everybody else who reads this thread is , what is their motivation. There sense of logic is totally incomprehensible. They deserve each other !!

One thing is for sure, the best that can be said for either is that they are a pain in the ass. And, a pain in the ass is something that we can all do without !
