RNS.
Now thats much better. You don't have to read between these lines.
Additional production facility at Dunsfold Park, Surrey, UK.
Enable the increased production of fuel cells with full cartridge assembly.
And at last 'a not that rough a date mentioned'
The plant will start producing its annually expected output of up to several thousand fuel cells by mid-Summer, so presumably July ish.
So money set aside for the additional facility. Also if production is to start by mid summer, they are obviously not going to hang about getting these facilities geared up.
They must be very close to orders, although I now suspect they have at least a couple already signed, or at least agreed to on a MOU.
Well done AFC, this should really start to move the sp.

On a day like today any increase is good, so well done AFC.
What with the global financial situation, all the talk of an oil Armageddon and the chance that Israel are loading their planes up to pay Iran a visit, I'm surprised we have not all cashed in and started to run for the bunkers.

Enough is enough.
Like most red blooded males, I love a bit of foreplay, but enough is enough.
Lets just hope we reach a climax tomorrow.
If AFC was a female, she would deserve a bit of a slap.
What a tease!

Forget fundamentals, charts and the like.
Sir John used to be a director of Camelot Entertainments PLC (the company that runs the National Lottery).
Two things spring to mind here.
1 A Knight in Camelot.
2 Is this a sign, we are all going to win the jackpot.
Mind you, with 4 lines yesterday, not yielding 1 single number, I have a far better chance of hitting the jackpot with AFC than I do via Camelot.
Skinny/RF,
Ready to blow? at least I did not say that all this sucks.
Sorry about the above frivolity, but these constant RNS releases are having a very strange effect!

AFC ENERGY APPOINTS LUTHER PENDRAGON AS INTEGRATED FINANCIAL AND CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS ADVISER
12 March 2012: AFC Energy plc (AIM: AFC), the leading developer of low-cost alkaline fuel cell technology for industrial applications, is pleased to announce the appointment of Luther Pendragon to spearhead an integrated corporate and financial communications strategy.
The appointment follows significant progress at AFC Energy to commercialise its technology with the recent installation of its Beta fuel cell System at a global chemicals producer, and the arrival of a new chief executive, Ian Williamson, from Air Products.
Based in the City of London, Luther Pendragon will combine the roles previously held by two separate agencies in a move to align AFC's public relations with its business strategy, as well as improve coordination and quality of communications with stakeholders.
Ian Williamson, CEO, said: "Luther's integrated approach to our communications needs will allow us to focus all of our resources in one place, ensuring consistency of messaging and effective use of management time to reach out to all our existing and potential stakeholders, partners and customers."
Neil Thapar, Director, Luther Pendragon said: "We are proud to be working with AFC Energy, a British company with disruptive, clean energy technologies and global growth prospects. By delivering a proactive and integrated communications strategy, we are confident we can help AFC to improve understanding of its business and achieve its corporate goals."
Luther Pendragon. Any relation to Uther Pendragon? Bring in Merlin, we could do with a bit of magic!

RNS today or tomorrow!
No matter how good we feel the technology is or/and how good the company is being run, I don't think we can get away from what the general feeing will be if there is no news either later today or pre opening tomorrow.
I think we all accept that releasing news for the first time at the AGM, timed with a RNS is not the way to treat investors.
I remember several years ago, when a company I was invested in did this, and the criticism from those who were attending the AGM was very strong, as it was from others who were not able to view the RNS on release.
So, in a nut shell, I agree that 'No news' will indicate, 'Bad news', if only for the reason that further delays will take some justifying.
Investors have been very patient, and will perhaps need to be more so, but without at least some sort of solid update, even if its only as to progress, and by that, I do not mean comments such as, things are progressing as expected or we continue to make progress above expectations or similar.
I for one don't want to look back at my investment in AFC in a couple of months, seeing the sp sink, thinking that the signs were there, but I closed my eyes to them.
I have been caught like this before.
So, although my comments above will no doubt come over negative, I must put on record that, I am still far more positive than negative, but without an RNS pre the AGM opening, or/and a very positive update, with solid facts/figures from the AGM, that will very quickly change.
Very much (I hope) looking forward to seeing comments from those attending the AGM, who are always willing to share with the rest of us.
Regards Pond.

RNS!
http://www.moneyam.com/action/news/showArticle?id=4347136
Low-cost alkaline fuel cell technology specialist AFC Energy has signed a commercialisation agreement with Waste2Tricity.
W2T has exercised its right to exclusively represent AFC Energy in the UK for applications involving the integration of its fuel cell products with hydrogen derived from the gasification of municipal solid waste to generate clean energy.
This is under an agreement announced on 4 February 2009.
AFC Energy will receive a non-refundable appointment fee of £1m payable in stages over four years.
The first instalment of £150,000 is due immediately.
W2T will, subject to performance, be AFC Energy's exclusive agent for an initial term running until 2022 in the UK for securing fuel cell system supply contracts from projects where municipal waste is gasified, from which AFC Energy expects to derive further revenues.
The agreement also grants W2T a right of first refusal regarding the supply of AFC Energy's fuel cells to further territories in Europe and North America for use in projects where hydrogen is derived from the gasification of municipal solid waste.
AFC Energy and W2T will continue to work together to target and develop waste-to-energy opportunities as they arise.

AFC & ICL to build UK's largest fuel cell facility
AFC Energy (AIM: AFC), the industrial fuel cell power company and Industrial Chemicals Limited ("ICL"), are pleased to announce their joint intent to install the UK's largest fuel cell facility to generate clean energy.
The facility, using AFC's low cost alkaline fuel cell system, will have an electrical output approaching 1MWe (one mega watt of power, enough energy to power 500 homes). It will be installed in stages at ICL's chlor-alkali plant which has recently been constructed in Essex to manufacture chlorine and caustic soda which have a range of uses including household cleaning products, detergents and water treatment.
