By the drop today, expect bad news?

stockdog - 17 Oct 2005 10:48 - 5102 of 7811

Well, true to my decision, I sold out at 17p this morning. I couldn't get an on-line quote for more than 10,000, so had to phone my order through. Why so many people are selling this morning, I have no idea, but I'm one of them. Immediately after my sale was listed, I saw the first buy of the day go through - just my luck to have sold at the bottom!

Just what do people think they are doing?

Giving the stock away is ridiculous at these prices.

I see the least anyone can sell for now is 16.5p.

Once the offer drops as well I am in for more.

Even the worst news must be well in the price now.

nkirkup - 17 Oct 2005 11:29 - 5104 of 7811

15p by lunchtime, prior to company RNS

seawallwalker - 17 Oct 2005 11:38 - 5105 of 7811

I'll wait till then and buy at 15p.

Thanks for the er........ tip nkirkup if that is what it was.

If it wasn't, I will call you a nasty name.

seawallwalker - 17 Oct 2005 11:58 - 5106 of 7811

Wilma???

If that's what caused this, it's a definite buy.

nkirkup speculation like yours is stupid and made by a stupid person.

Save it for ADVFN.

stockdog - 17 Oct 2005 12:27 - 5107 of 7811

SWW - I very much hope to be back in at some stage. However, the chart is a definite sell for the moment.

What's your view as to the sudden rush for the door this morning?

Stockdog

It started last week, today is the lemming-like resultant panic. Buying opportunity I think.

Look at the numbers stockie.

Not high today really, plus the sp is on it's way back up.

I think Wilma is the cause.

FWIW I had a few just now 25K, to add to my pool @ 17.3.

I am against the trend, however I intend to hold now till the Company is bought, or 3 years minimum so I don't really care.

This is a sober board compared to others where there are lots of comments.

My biggest worry is that proptrade has not commented this morning.

Could he be drunk with success over at ESY?

stockdog - 17 Oct 2005 12:58 - 5110 of 7811

SWW and Nam - thanks for your responses. I'm currebtly trying to bring a bit of much needed discipline to my portfolio ann dspent the weekend setting stop lss policies for all holdings. I'm sad (exactly - emotionas are OUT from now on!) that SEY is one of the first to get stoppped out, since I have great hopes for Q1 2006. Let's hope I can get back in when the downside risk has abated, even if it costs me a few quid on the spread.

Stockie - you have done thr right thing for you, so that's all right.

Keep an eye in here stockie.

Your comments are always welcome.

Good luck with the others, I have been doing a similar thing to you, but I am buying from the lows of late so that's all right for me. My average on ths new holding is under 18p so at the moment I am happy.

All the best

No room for sentiment. Lesson learned the hard way. You must trust your own judgement and roll with the punches. After all, it your hard earned!

Ah.......... The Prophet Proptrade speaks.

And we all listen, (sometimes).

He has a new shrine in the Golden City.............

A place for pilgrimage,

A place for homage,

and.........,

A cup of tea when you're passing.

You are all welcome to this place.

3.50 a cup!

Such is the place of The Prohet Proptrade.

stockdog - 17 Oct 2005 14:03 - 5115 of 7811

Don't worry SWW - can't get rid of me that easily! Like the Groak, I'll be back!

proptrade - 17 Oct 2005 14:43 - 5118 of 7811

bless you..

stockdog - 17 Oct 2005 17:36 - 5119 of 7811

Looks like I may have been suckered by the MMs, afterseeing those two protected trades toalling 600k goin through late today at 17.50/17.75p. I guess the MMs dropped the price to fill those two orders - no doubt I will be paying to get back in now.

sd

seawallwalker - 17 Oct 2005 18:03 - 5120 of 7811

Dont we all get suckered at some stage?

My problem is not the MM, more like the rampers/derampers who for a while I used to believe.

Now I know better. (hence my terse words earlier).

The question you need to ask yourself is, now or after Tevet2 Deep ST-1?

The word is that there is nothing for us tomorrow, more like the end of the week with wirelines Friday being completed Monday, so you have time to think provided the sp does not race off, whichI doubt.

Not easy, but I have been there too.

Best of luck stockie.
