Iffy larger than usual trades at the end, all buys and the price dropping.
Even more sussy.

You and me too, even a penny adds to profit prop.
I think a lot of small holders are being shaken out here and as you see from the trades, the shares are being bought in lumps of 100k plus.
I dont have level 2 but with Money I was able to investigate better who the major holders were and how much stock they had.
I am aware that currently around 40% is held and not available for retail, unless the Hedge funds sell out of course, but would they do that at a tremedous loss?
I suppose it has been known, but with Chinguetti producing 75000 boo per day, at $50 which gives Sterling $5.75 just from the Premier deal alone per barrel, you work it out what they get in a year.
Surmise that the Mauritanian Government are paying a miminmum of the same as Premier, and see why the stock will be gobbled up.
Hardman are saying the field will peak produce in 18 months and then carry of for 15years.
Add Tiof if it happens and Tevet if that happens, plus Banda and I really can not see how this can fail.
Unless someone knows sometging different.
I would put cash figures in for you before tax, but I am wondering if my calculator is being too generous.

Oil stocks add to losses at close
AFX
NEW YORK (AFX) -- Oil stocks closed broadly and solidly higher Monday after Citigroup recommended investors buy into the recent share price weakness in the group. Among the stocks closing higher were Exxon Mobil Corp. , up 2.7%; ConocoPhillips , up 3.7%; Sunoco up 5.2%; and Giant Industries, up 6.5% and the leading percentage gainer in the session.
Any reason seems to do

No evidence of reservoir development and low RMM H/C to C5. Not looking very promising on this evidence.

SWW - at least the Chardonnay is a solid C2 producer - some consolation for rather meagre C1-C5 evidence on Tevet - lol!

namreh3,
Maybe not, but don't forget SEY have a free carry on all these wells!
Others have expressed a different opinion, I await the next RNS for confirmation before jumping to a conclusion one way or the other.

prop,
You and me both!
Friday may be bad if US puts up their rates, although I think the expectation of that is at least partly priced in now.

proptrade - I think the next few months will test whether our stock-picking has been any good. If so, our holdings should appear to rise above the crowd as the rest of the market sinks. Whether they actually make a profit, who can say.

wise words on a sensible thread...
we may be OK but there is just a jittery feel still around. pick the winners and leave the crappy stocks is my hard and farst rule..

Someone had the jitters just before lunch, it appears. A double strawberry daiquiri should 'steady the buffs'.
Pip pip.

ps HNR seems to have firmed a tad on the news today. Perhaps oversold?
