Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=BLNX&S

With video search set to be the next big growth area BLNX have the software the likes of Microsoft, Google and NewsCorp would love to have.

In fact BLNX have done deals with most of these, the most recent being the UtargetFox deal which has been reported in the USA but not RNS'd in the UK.

Alexa rankings confirm the continued growth in usage as its viral effect spreads:-

The ITN RNS confirms blnx is the best in the market and is growing fast:-

Leading News Organization ITN Extends Advertising Deal with blinkx Based on Proven Campaign Success

blinkx Selected to Power Advertising across ITN Website and Syndication Partner Sites

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - July 2, 2008 - blinkx, the world's largest and most advanced video search engine, today announced that it has won an extension contract that will augment the scope of its advertising partnership with ITN, one of the world's leading news and multimedia content companies. Under the terms of the new agreement, ITN will use AdHoc, blinkx's patented contextual advertising platform for online TV and video, to serve advertisements on the ITN website and its syndication partner sites, including Bebo.

Through AdHoc, ITN has already been effectively monetizing its premium news content on the blinkx.com network for over six months. During this time, ITN achieved a significantly better return, greater search volume, and higher monetization through blinkx than through other syndication partners.

AdHoc uses blinkx's patented speech-to-text transcription and visual analysis technology to understand video content more thoroughly and effectively than any other service today, and can therefore dynamically place the most pertinent advertising against it. The AdHoc platform offers media companies and advertisers a unique value proposition -- video advertising which combines the emotive power of TV promotion, with the relevance and utility of contextual search advertising.

The confluence of ITN's premium TV content, blinkx's extensive syndication network, and AdHoc's uniquely powerful targeting capabilities was a formula for success. By extending its partnership with blinkx, ITN aims to achieve similar returns by leveraging the AdHoc platform to deliver contextually relevant video advertising on its own website and across its distribution partner sites.

'We're thrilled to be broadening our relationship with ITN,' said Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx. 'News content is one of the most popular categories of online video and there's clearly a tremendous opportunity for monetization. The success of our partnership with ITN is evidence that the blinkx AdHoc platform is a uniquely powerful solution for online video advertising today.'

'We've been delighted with the results of our partnership with blinkx and are looking forward to implementing the AdHoc technology on our site,' said Nicholas Wheeler, managing director, ITN On. 'blinkx AdHoc has proven that it can achieve significant monetization of our content, effective marketing for advertisers and, most importantly, a useful, non-disruptive experience for our audience.'

As a pioneer in video search technology, blinkx has built a reputation as the most effective way to search new forms of online content such as video. With more than 350 partners and 26 million hours of indexed video and audio content, including favorite TV moments, news clips, short documentaries, music videos, video blogs and more, blinkx uses advanced speech recognition technology to deliver results that are more accurate and reliable than standard metadata-based keyword searches.

127.12 gone long.

Gausie - 04 Feb 2014 12:43 - 5242 of 6187

Gausie - My answer to your question is no... The reason being like you said 'revisited within the next few weeks'... I'm looking at trading now, not in a few weeks..

127.12 gone long.

Good for you shortie, trading *against* a trend that you recognise and acknowledge. Such courage is so rare these days among successful traders! Good luck!

I was cheking all morning the Intraday chart, the trend after 8.30am was bullish with higher high and higher lows.

There was a bit of resitance at 126p for a while but did break

as has had plenty of highs and lows waited for the next low 123.25 / 124.50p and bought some more T+15 @ 124.43p

Shortie - 04 Feb 2014 13:02 - 5244 of 6187

Thank you Gausie, no doubt I'll reverse and go short soon. I'm thinking its currently better to trade the current direction than overall trend until things settle. With support / resistance having some 15 pts of play I think its worth the risk..

cynic - 04 Feb 2014 13:04 - 5245 of 6187

you may have trouble shorting .... as i said earlier, IG's short book is (was) currently closed

Shortie - 04 Feb 2014 13:20 - 5246 of 6187

As was CityIndex last time I tried Cynic... See how my current long goes, may well abandon it anyway if ASOS and other stock starts to move.

Balerboy - 04 Feb 2014 13:50 - 5247 of 6187

going down...... 80p ...... winky face.,.

Haystack - 04 Feb 2014 14:33 - 5248 of 6187

Galactica
What about your chart now showing lower lows and lower highs?

galatica - 04 Feb 2014 14:57 - 5249 of 6187

I see a Pack of Hyenas waiting for the rabit to come out from the Haystack

note - close my first buy at 101.49p as it drop below 122p

cynic - 04 Feb 2014 15:00 - 5250 of 6187

ah - so you took a walloping then .... bad luck and join the clan

Shortie - 04 Feb 2014 15:17 - 5251 of 6187

-12 pts at the moment, eating into my days FTSE profits.. http://www.forbes.com/sites/petercohan/2014/02/03/harvard-profs-blog-post-slashes-blinkx-stock-price-21/ Good article in Forbes

Gausie - 04 Feb 2014 15:26 - 5252 of 6187

three day intraday chart shows a H&S with a target of 100p. Am expecting a brief return to 120 before a sharp drop down to 100p. The big question is whether 100 will hold or be overshot - there'll be plenty of stops taken out at that level.

Dil - 04 Feb 2014 15:41 - 5253 of 6187

It's going to 80p

galatica - 04 Feb 2014 15:42 - 5254 of 6187

Close my today's buy at 118p, a loss of 6.50p

gain of just below 20p on 1st buy
lost of 6.50p on the second

gain of about 13p at the end of this short road.

the good thing is I did not have to put any money down as they were both T+15p

note - more negative rumours around, most likely by the shorters

Gausie - 04 Feb 2014 15:52 - 5255 of 6187

Dil - if it gets to 80p then it'll trade as low as 60p the same day. Plenty of fresh stops below 85p.

cynic - 04 Feb 2014 15:55 - 5256 of 6187

do yourself a favour, and learn to read a bit - i'm bad enough .... http://www.forbes.com/sites/petercohan/2014/02/03/harvard-profs-blog-post-slashes-blinkx-stock-price-21/

cynic - 04 Feb 2014 16:05 - 5257 of 6187

knickers!
should have used my nous and called in ..... for the sort of quantity i'ld want to short, they'll allow it
i suspect there'll be a bit of short closing towards close, so i'll hold fire for now

galatica - 04 Feb 2014 16:53 - 5258 of 6187

Are we going to get the end of the saga?

Forges report

What happened here?
I would guess that Edelman’s client is a hedge fund that got together with some others to short Blinkx stock before he posted his blog. Statistics from British financial regulators suggest that “several hedge funds had built sizable [short] minority stakes in Blinkx” before January 30, according to the New York Times.

I’d guess that Blinkx’s share price was overwhelmed by the power of those short sellers. And if Edelman is right that there is nothing improper in what he did — I would like him to at least disclose whether his client is a hedge fund — those hedge funds may have identified a way to beat the market

Shortie - 04 Feb 2014 16:53 - 5259 of 6187

Also worth a read... I'm staying long for now..
