THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Back from Italy if you haven't done Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii put it on your list well worth a visit.

Mount Vesuvius you get to go right to the lip of the crater.

I want to stand where the picture was taken from.

I prefer Up Pompeii.
OOOhhh-eeerrrrr, No Missus. Don't titter.

bosley - 28 Aug 2006 21:12 - 5268 of 81564

definately worth a read , driver. it's about an aqueduct engineer sent to pompeii to find out why the aqua augusta has stopped flowing.

hewittalan6 - 28 Aug 2006 21:16 - 5269 of 81564

Don't want to spoil the story, but its full of magma, and the engineer ends up a pork scratching.

Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up every two hours?

hewittalan6 - 29 Aug 2006 08:59 - 5271 of 81564

Hows the currency trading going, Bos.
I've scratched around my office drawers and found 7 UAE Dirhams, $14USD, 46 Mexican Peso, and 3 eurocents. I was going to sell it all and buy Thailand Bhat, but when I phoned the broker he said something very unprofessional to me and slammed the phone down!!
I'll send 'em on to you, if they will help you.
Alan

Driver, I slept like a baby last night; I did indeed wake up every two hours - screaming, as it happens - but soon quietened down after a feed of breast milk.

If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

soul traders - 29 Aug 2006 18:51 - 5276 of 81564

Driver: "If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?"

It could be a signing!

Hope everyone is back and refreshed after the weekend.
Just been reading the paper and noticed a girl in the navy sued the MOD because she broke her ankle during training. Is it just me or is this another pathetic example of a good law gone wrong. Whats next, during a firefight a soldier twists his ankle and sues because the MOD did not make sure the ground was even before launching the attack?

jimmy b - 30 Aug 2006 10:50 - 5278 of 81564

The worlds gone mad ,,policeman suing for trauma and a gay policeman suing because he can't wear an earing ,says they are discriminating against him because he's gay ,they all need a good kicking .

driver - 30 Aug 2006 10:57 - 5279 of 81564

jimmy make my day.

Soldiers in enemy armed forces engaged by our boys will be suing our ammunition manufacturers next, for making the bangs too loud and scary.

Can't believe the earring thing - I mean I do, but I'm having difficulty. Either you wear the uniform and wear it properly, or you don't join the uniformed services.

People should definitely be better at putting up and shutting up.

End of rant, is there any tea in the pot?
