beebusy - 28 Oct 2010 09:51

Below the radar,or is my head above the parapet?

beebusy - 04 Jan 2013 14:13 - 41 of 64

up 17% on the day so far and through the 0.06p barrier with some large buys.

beebusy - 04 Jan 2013 14:23 - 42 of 64

In a Blink gone from 17% to 22% up I would expect some profit taking but not a lot showing as of yet, if the pundits have it right they would be silly to get out now. But "Don't count your chickens ect!" Being so cheerful keeps me going!! Lol

Ortac Resources shakes mining market

OTC 0.64p +20.95%

LONDON (SHARECAST) - Ortac Resources shares soared as investors turned their eyes on the potential of gold production in Solvakia.

The AIM-listed gold explorer lifted 22.82% to a mid of 0.635p, showing a trend of major gold companies, according to broker Seymour Pierce.

Traders are expecting good results from the 1.3m ounce Šturec Gold Deposit in Slovakia where the results of the pre-feasibility are due this quarter.

The company will thereafter begin work on an environmental and social impact assessment which will enable a definitive feasibility study.

Last month the firm unveiled interim results, reporting a loss of £0.79m and a cash position of £6.7m as of September 30th.

Some very good news and hopefully more to follow. These are the very strengths that convinced me to buy some time ago.My original stake was bought in at circa 1.8p.the last lot 0.48p. with a fair bit in between. So any move to the North is a very welcome move on my part.

magicjoe - 07 Jan 2013 12:20 - 47 of 64

Market Makers on the game today

after a fast marked up to 0.68 /0.70p

then down to 0.60 / 0.64p

there was some buying at that point and up to 0.63 / 0.66p and then showing 1 large trade of over 2.1M shares at 0.65p and down to 0.60 /0.66p in one go ( earlier was slowly by 0.01p at a time )

another 3M buy at 0.65p and no share price move

What is going on!

gibby - 07 Jan 2013 12:26 - 48 of 64

good luck bb - as you know i think highly of otc but fear at the moment there will be a repeat of last spike 18/9 and downward spiral again - would give serious consideration to flog the lot at todays sp and buy back once it has drifted for a while again - would not expect anymore news for a month or 2 now - gl whether you hang on as is or sell and rebuy - the real good news is they still have cash all be it reduced after activity - i just hope they find some higher grade ore than so far

beebusy - 07 Jan 2013 20:23 - 49 of 64

I had thought of going down that road but lacked the nerve!! I think I will take the long haul as knowing my luck as soon as I sell they would soar like Eddie the Eagle!!

gibby - 09 Jan 2013 10:07 - 50 of 64

hi bb - i am glad you are sticking with your nerve - i used to do that a lot and it literally cost me a fortune from simply not selling on the spike and rebuying after the drop - no rocket science there :-)) - i also used to think if i sell now it will go up immediately - ended up holding then watching profits turn into a loss - got fed up with that in the end and learned not too get too attached to any share - i am sure otc will eventually spike again but not for a while and you know what happens to any share with no news for a while and none expected - would expect this below .55 soon then .5 not that far away
i hope i am wrong and you get a deserved reward for holding here - either way it should come good for you eventually just could have perhaps increased your share holding in the meantime for no cost

beebusy - 09 Jan 2013 10:52 - 52 of 64

But buying in small 50,000 packages when they are low bringing my ave down slowly,Just come from the Cardio who seem to feel that my heart is bumping along ok so may see a return from these pesky critturs. If not my kids do not deserve to so its win win for me Gibby?????!!!!!!!!!!! Having said that, I do rue the day I ever got into Shares as its addictive and costly, for me anyway. Very little knowledge, and pinch of arrogance, makes a dangerous combination for a bored chap at a computer.

Robust investment returns??? From a company whose shares are trading at about 60% less than a few years ago.So far I fail to see any value created, but I do see a hugh space in my purse.Insted of talking a load of hype they should get on and do something.

beebusy - 03 Feb 2013 11:47 - 55 of 64

I cannot make the reception on the 28th Feb, would be grateful if anybody who does manage it posts a brief review.

Well Well, the Mayor has put a ferret in the hen house! Shades of the old Asian Energy debacle. Now it's a case where do you place your bets? Mayor and his backers or Ortac. My view is Ortac for the long game as the area needs employment and revenue. But at present rate we will all be driving Dacia's!!!
