Pre IPO price 4p
Opening price on debut 25p
Floatation price 46p to raise 14million to extend Jolly Ranch
Current fair value estimate 114p
Market cap 70.59 million.
Value of Cisco Springs investments 98 million.
Value of Vogel investments 75 million.
Desparado trucking now Nightfox 250,000 for a 50% stake with partner Running Foxes.
Centurion Project Kansas, 150,000 for a 50% stake.
Jolly Ranch Colorado, 40,000 acres cost 356,000 for a 50% stake.
Cash in bank 7.75 million.
As this EPIC opens on AIM today anything could happen. On the one hand you have traders trying to cash in a sixfold profit. You will also have a clambering of traders after shares because, firstly they could only get 75% of their allocation because of demand. Secondly at 25p this company is still way under valued.

your call, but sorry to say sounds as though you load an awful lot of eggs into too few baskets ..... you happen to have called gold correctly (eventually), but i am sure that, like the rest of us, you have bought into some real stinkers ..... HAWK is not (necessarily) one of those
just for the record, i can't remember if i cashed in any of my modest HAWK holding at/near top, but certainly bought back in, again modestly, as i consider these minnow E&P stocks to be very high risk, with just the odd one coming good.
if i do not allow myself to get stupidly greedy, i remember the truism that no one ever went broke banking a profit ...... hence recently anmd tastily in/out the likes of PCI and MXP and even some of the much bigger fish like PMO and PRU

think long term holders will do well on this one. Bought CLF @ .1095 p few months back, got out at .545p. Fallen back from highs, mkt in general will fall after this short term bounce, people will invest in Gold again.....BUY clf at mid 30's.

no cynic, just wondering when to exit my AFR punt of today, HAWK will have its day sooner than you think don't panic. AFR was quite crap just a few days ago, now look, you get the message.
Post 888 - I like that.

i concur about AFR ..... really don't feel comfortable with delayed results, though after friday's very strong drilling update, bad news with the figures just a day or two later ought to be inconceivable ..... even so, it is very bad form of AFR not to make a formal statement about the delayed figures.

All the EBOK gains have just gone up in smoke it's madness and now't much left to reflate it, plus as I said I smell a rat, there seems to be a problem that they don't know how to present right. Lost most of my short gains punting AFR past few days but no overall loss as such. HAWK not looked so strong for a while now, about time.

No rumours silver, just awareness that the partial sale, which my take is will be nearer the better acreage figures, is due any day in April. Of course that could go on a few days, but, not much else out there with quite the same short term upside imho. The Jolly Ranch Project was slightly under-estimated, I really think it has been, up to now. Bigg'ish buys suggest good turn of sentiment on that, rather than any news leak as such, or, quite possible HAWK is seen as the perfect T20 at the mo' all considered.
Think I was still right about AFR too, jeez.

The Directors of Nighthawk Energy plc (the 'Company') are pleased to announce an update on the sale of an interest in the Jolly Ranch project (the 'Sale').
The Sale by Nighthawk Production LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, and Running Foxes Petroleum, Inc. will be subject to a Purchase, Sale and Option agreement, the terms of which have been agreed between all parties.
The Sale will comprise an aggregate 20 per cent. interest in the core Jolly Ranch project which covers 50,000 net acres, and a series of options over a 20 per cent. interest in the remaining 232,000 net acres of the wider Jolly Ranch project, including Middle Mist and Mustang Creek. Nighthawk Production LLC and Running Foxes Petroleum, Inc. will each sell and grant options over a 10 per cent. interest in the project.
Completion of the Sale is scheduled for mid-May 2009 and further details will be announced at that time.

All eyes on the actual sale figures, up to 2 weeks away that's all. Wouldn't surprise me if they release the figures a bit earlier.
