THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Raw,

Which words in my recent postings didn't you understand

Try re-reading them, and then applying a little thought to the overall content of them.

It is interesting and surprising to me, to watch the press and media and see that it is already being critical and damning of this coalition misgovernment.

In many ways similar to the dying days of previous government.

But, I can see it being justified, as the economic principles being applied by the coalition is equivalent to Biscuit Tin accountancy and likely to prolong any recovery period.

You always tell me to try re-reading your posts fred. I bow to your greater intellectual capacity. Then again, why don't you post in a clear, concise manner to save me the trouble.

Fred1new - 04 Nov 2010 13:33 - 9863 of 81564

Raw,

It seems that I gave you more credit than you maybe due.

I fear you are starting to become abusive, careful, your buddy Stan may want words with you.

Isaacs - 04 Nov 2010 13:38 - 9865 of 81564

Stan - you should direct you argument withouth abuse point at your mate friend as well. He is one of the first to resort to abuse although usually a bit more subtle than some.

aldwickk - 04 Nov 2010 13:48 - 9866 of 81564

Raw

Just ignore him like a lot of other's do

rawdm999 - 04 Nov 2010 13:51 - 9867 of 81564

Thanks aldwickk. Just in a bit of a playful mood today otherwise I would.

Just watched Cameron putting forward his clear policies on TV.

Must try his optician.

Is he going to be another, "here today, gone tomorrow minister"?

greekman - 04 Nov 2010 16:51 - 9869 of 81564

Hi Stan,

I fully agree that there is no place for abuse on these threads. As to Fred, I and many others have attempted many times to have a frank and open discussion with him.
The reason why a few of us no longer bother, is as some have already stated, many of his replies were totally unconnected with the discussion/view that was being discussed. He often would and still does put points in argument that did not bare any relation to what others had stated.
Sometimes it was as if say, the discussion was on which political party had the best policy on the current financial situation. If someone stated that in their view it was the Conservatives, his argument in reply would be something along the lines of, but wasn't it Maggie Thatcher who sold off all the council houses. A completely unrelated response.
OK probably not quite as blatantly obscure as the Conservatives/Maggie example, but you get the point.
I did for a while enjoy discussing politics and other matter with him, but you can not discus any issue with someone who goes so obscurely off track.
I must add, that I do not disagree with all his views, most of them yes, but not all.

Greek.

You must be reforming.

I will continue to help you to make the appropriate further changes.

Have a nice evening.

greekman - 04 Nov 2010 17:32 - 9871 of 81564

Fred,

Thanks, and you.

jimmy

As in all walks of life, the lunatics often take over the asylum.

Why not just ban the main protagonist who habitually ruins every thread he posts on?

Simples

You're nearly six months too late, Alders!

aldwickk - 04 Nov 2010 20:44 - 9877 of 81564

Am not being obtuse , but why am i to late , for what ? I haven't got Premium service.

greekman - 05 Nov 2010 07:06 - 9879 of 81564

I would love to see Maggies reaction to just a few of the decisions of late.
Trusting the French to back up the UK in a war. Votes for prisoners. Current immigration policy. The Health and safety fiasco. Our current contribution to the EU cash pot. European arrest warrant. Many of our laws now decided by the EU, and so on.

I see that Cameron has employed the tory party photographer on the Number 10 pay list at the future expense of the Public Purse.

Is it true that he is planning to open a model agency in order to use his talents?

Are the tory party ladies queuing up, to be put on the agencys books?

If so, it would seem the entrepreneurial spirit has reached Number 10.

I wonder how much effect this small business would have on the present unemployment figures?
