AFC Energy's EU grant and other income increased to GBP2,313,586 in the year to the end of October (2014: GBP796,135).
Overall post tax losses narrowed to GBP4.8 million from GBP5.4 million. Cash balances at 31 October, excluding restricted cash, were GBP1.8 million (2014: GBP4.9 million). The company subsequently raised GBP3.6 million before costs through a placing and offer for subscription, which was oversubscribed by a factor of 3.8 times.
Chief executive Adam Bond said: "2015 was all about driving our alkaline fuel cell technology platform to maximise the power output of the system for the first time at a third party industrial facility in Germany whilst in parallel delivering the requirements of the joint EU funded POWER-UP programme.
"Having achieved a number of critical successes over this period, 2016 is now focused on delivery of international contracts for the deployment of our fuel cell system whilst taking the wealth of learnings acquired over the course of 2015 and further enhancing the operability of the fuel cell system capable of meeting the requirements of our commercial partners. Progress in developing and monetising partnerships continues unabated in our target markets."

the buyers of the rights and placing must be feeling pretty miffed
the technology is very much cutting edge and should be successful in the long run
the two questions are
will AFC will still be around in say 3/5 years time? ...... probably i'ld guess
given the current discount to the rights price (25%), should one take the plunge or add or neither?
i'm quite inclined to add, perhaps as a trade, but not today!

From the milestones for 2016.
"Therefore, throughout the first half of 2016, the Stade facility will be utilised to run further testing on the fuel cell system and BoP with the second half being utilised in particular to trial the improved Gen 2 fuel cell stack and BOP, and confirm the longevity targets for the new system"
That could mean they are running tests to help develop v2 stacks, or it could mean they are doing some longevity testing. However if the target was to achieve more than 200 kW for up to 180 days that may be difficult as the stacks degrade over time and power output is likely to drop below 200 kW sooner than if they were able to start from 240 kW. Very difficult to comment without knowing what is really going on.

Taking the P!ss at Lunch time
Michael Fallon said on the BBC1 just now " they are not going to through out the Polish people"
Does that mean they will have to pay their own fares to go back home?

Parliament
Energy revolution: what could change the energy sector?
24 March 2016
The Energy and Climate Change Committee launches an inquiry exploring what disruptive technologies and innovation could transform the future energy sector.
What we want to know
As a first step in this inquiry, the Energy and Climate Change Committee is seeking answers to a single question:
"Which innovations have the greatest potential to revolutionise energy markets, and why?"
Please refer to no more than 3. We will look at your ideas and shortlist a few to look at in more detail............

How much cash is left?
Cash and cash equivalents at end of year £1,756,445
"Since the fundraise, the Company has received >€1 million from the EU, for work completed to 30 June 2014, and a further £1.5-£2 million is expected before year end."
"We raised £3.6 million"
So: £1,756,445 + £800k + £1.5m to £2m + £3.6m is enough cash to last 2 years plus.

From 1.3.2016
Milestone 5 Conclude basic design and engineering on a 1MW capacity fuel cell system capable of deployment in 2017.
Now, from Quarterly Newsletter:-
I remain confident that AFC will achieve its target of 1GW, that is 1,000MW of capacity installed or under development, by 2020.
Exactly what is Adam Bond trying to say here?

AFC is definitely one to stick in the drawer and forget for 2/3 years or more
RM2 falls into a similar category
both companies have very interesting concepts, and though they're pretty high risk, i think they'll both survive and prosper in time

order book has gone very strong on the depth, considering there are 3 trades at offer side worth not considering as they have been there for some time and are well ahead of the normal prices.

AFC Energy describes itself as ............
“the world’s leading developer of low-cost alkaline fuel cell technology”. The company is focused on large-scale industrial applications, and says its technology “has the potential to be the catalyst, which transforms the way in which industries of today produce energy for tomorrow”.
The company has completed an ambitious programme to prove its technology at a gas plant in Germany — only marginally over schedule and marginally under the target output — and is currently busy optimising the system.
AFC is aiming for 1,000MW of capacity installed or under development by 2020, and so far has a 50MW project development agreement in Korea with an expected revenue to the company of £400m over 10 years.

Surprise surprise. how the order book operates sometimes, there was 156K on the order book offer side at 17.50K, that was what kept the share price on pause for some time, but now at once all of them were taken as "AT" and moves the offer to 17.75p, there was not such big buys not even paying full offer, but about time it was taken on a positive thinking.
14:41:21 17.50 300 AT
14:41:21 17.50 100,000 AT
14:41:21 17.50 5,700 AT
