PIPEX COMMUNICATIONS - TIPPED FOR 2004 (PXC)

moneyman - 03 Jan 2004 20:03

Tipped by the independent 2/01/2004

........."And so to our traditional "wild card". Pipex Communications, formerly known as GX Networks, is a telecoms company created by one of the entrepreneurs behind Ukbetting, Peter Dubens. It has been assembled from six smaller players. The ambitious company is generating cash for the first time but is still not widely followed in the City. It could be an undiscovered gem".

Troys - 02 Jun 2005 13:52 - 1242 of 1874

sidtrix - 02 Jun 2005 14:47 - 1243 of 1874

lol I must say that it has stayed above 8p for the longest time yet! Maybe Pipex is getting over its good news phobia!

skyhigh - 02 Jun 2005 15:04 - 1244 of 1874

It'll go down then... it's never stayed higher for that long..hope I'm wrong this time though... :)

Troys - 02 Jun 2005 15:27 - 1245 of 1874

all they have done is move the spread over the course of the day from 10% to 2.8% Still a gain is a gain. Can we do any better?

sidtrix - 02 Jun 2005 15:30 - 1246 of 1874

Maybe someone from C&W should leak that they are looking to buy Pipex!!!
he he that should sort us out ;) **Day dreaming again**

davepyle - 02 Jun 2005 16:04 - 1247 of 1874

sell price holding at 8.625...going to flip a coin...stay in or jump...lol

skyhigh - 02 Jun 2005 16:13 - 1248 of 1874

Stay in ... this is going to double in the next 3 months (imho). the sp should be much higher than it is today

ptholden - 02 Jun 2005 16:38 - 1249 of 1874

and here come the late / protected trades! The Institutional top ups just keeping popping up. Eventually, they will have bought most of the stock and the SP might behave in something like a normal manner (whatever that might be). Anyway, up nearly 5% on the day, so shouldn't complain.

Talking of institutions, does anyone have an accurate picture of who holds what? I can't say I trust the holdings on the AM site, seem to be somewhat dated.

pth
