proptrade - 01 Nov 2004 11:02 - 1284 of 7811

well, i would like to get overexcited but it could be a T20 rollover (and added a few to make a round 5 million) but i don't remeber seeing a trade that size over the last few weeks.

daves dazzlers - 01 Nov 2004 11:04 - 1285 of 7811

Wooo........

Back and I see someone has been busy.

Was the 9 million recorded as one trade?

Even if it wasn't then some one has a lot of cash and a lot of faith.

proptrade - 01 Nov 2004 15:32 - 1291 of 7811

as do we! (well not so much on the cash...)

StarFrog - 01 Nov 2004 16:05 - 1292 of 7811

Can anyone shed any light on the recent EGM notice. I just received mine from my broker and it says that SEY want us to waiver our pre-emption rights so that they can place a number of shares equating up to 11.5m. I understood that they needed to raise 97m through placing of new shares. So where is the difference money comming from.

moneyplus - 01 Nov 2004 18:24 - 1293 of 7811

Sounds as though they have buyers queuing up for shares and wanting to grab yours!! hoping for blue tomorrow! whats for supper Mickey??

sandrew64 - 01 Nov 2004 18:52 - 1294 of 7811

SWW
The 9 mill went through as 2 consecutive trades. Hope everyone had a good day!

seawallwalker - 01 Nov 2004 20:29 - 1295 of 7811

sandrew64 thnaKX,

Have done a look throught the list and now found it near the start of the day.

Time delay is minimal, could it be a trade between two brokers I wonder?

Doubt it will go blue just yet, have to wait for the share palcing, but your obs are probably correct in respect of the shake for shares, and people queuing up for shares.

Mine stay mine.

Speal 2 morrow

From ROC Oil

ROC Oil sees Mauritanian govt taking up option on 12 stake in Chinguetti field
AFX

LONDON (AFX) - Oil exploration group ROC Oil Co Ltd said it expects the Mauritanian government to exercise an option on a 12 pct stake in the offshore Chinguetti field.

'ROC believes that it is now likely that the Mauritanian Government will exercise its entitlement to acquire a 12 pct interest in the Chinguetti Field development on a prorata basis from all current Chinguetti participants prior to that entitlement lapsing on 20 November, 2004,' said ROC chief executive John Doran.

Doran added that if the government does take up its option, it will be responsible for its share of development and past exploration costs related to the field.

The biggest stake in Chinguetti is held by Australia's Woodside group of companies, which is also the operator.

Other companies with an interest in the field include Australia's Hardman Resources, BG Group PLC and Fusion Oil & Gas PLC.

Ends.

Now you all know why the price of 97mil is so high.

If Sterling are on behalf of ther Mauritannian Government buying ther 12% share, thr exploration and developement costs have to be paid as well.

No real problem with this though, this is a commercially viable field, and a good time to take the option up.

Any other views?

Yes, Sterling is making a good decision.
