Most interesting, earlier this week the rumour has been they are not interested in raising additional funds presently, but that can I suppose goes with the "at a significant premium" - in other words the money has come running to Rockhopper and some parties want to be on board, and are willing to pay way over the top to get a slice of the action.
Everyone has a price...... this news is most interesting. Thats the benefit of a 100% holding, you do not need to raise cash, you can farm down, but the case at point here is, has someone offered a very sweet price ? 375p ? higher ?
Again its worth reminding people, the Chairman of Rockhopper, Dr Jungels, is a heavyweight in the oil and gas industry, when he says its exciting, its exciting. If he says to a group of investors you should slap some money in here but you will have to pay at least xxx, but the return in the coming years will be superb and this is just the start, people will listen.
So will the coming news be a farm out ? or a fund raise at a significant premium to yesterdays price....... ? Perhaps its a farm out deal that values the barrels at significantly higher than the present share price ? or is it pure cash at a much higher price ?
Whatever, I am not selling, not trading and simply happy to hold.
The old saying "Run your winners and cut your losers" ...... why are people always in a rush to sell their good stocks, and so adamant at holding the losing stocks.
