Lambykins's Dutch Coffee House - ADULTS ONLY (LAMB)

Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

jeffmack - 30 Mar 2007 11:03 - 13921 of 24230

I think if there is a bid on your item it limits what you can revise, if anything. I dont have access to EBay at work so cant help further.

stockbunny - 30 Mar 2007 11:06 - 13922 of 24230

Thanks Jeff - that's what I thought - well it's up to her now, she has to either retract the bid or stay the course of the auction - cheers me-dear :>)

Fundamentalist - 30 Mar 2007 11:32 - 13923 of 24230

Bunny

Im sure ive done this in the past and i think you have to withdraw the item for sale then relist as a buy it now (not 100% certain). Its a few years since I did this and not sure if theyve changed the rules since

stockbunny - 30 Mar 2007 11:35 - 13924 of 24230

Thanks Fundy - how's you these days?

Socrates - 30 Mar 2007 15:06 - 13925 of 24230

Right, I've had a nap like Bunny suggested, and I feel quite invigorated. I wonder how fast she can run?

Spaceman - 30 Mar 2007 15:20 - 13926 of 24230

Just arrived back in Sevenoaks and the weather is horrible...

Was 1 hours late and the drive home from there took over on hour instead of the normal 30 minutes...

Any Danish left over from this morning?

stockbunny - 30 Mar 2007 16:42 - 13927 of 24230

No danish left as far as I know Spacie..
Socs - running ain't a problem ;>)

Socrates - 31 Mar 2007 08:22 - 13928 of 24230

FEB ready for them as what wants it. Extra Saute spuds and dry cured back bacon today. Kippers as an alternative for the adventurous.

Spaceman - 31 Mar 2007 08:40 - 13929 of 24230

Kippers for me please socs, any white bread avaialble ?

Socrates - 31 Mar 2007 10:32 - 13930 of 24230

Sorry so late replying Spacie. I was out buying some more white bread, the baker had to go hospital. Overstrained himself from too much loafing.

Just spent some more time dismembering an old television stand, quick trip to the tip on monday coming up. Her indoors is pressuring me to dispose of all my "might come in useful one-day" bits. Got her eye on moving soon methinks.

Socrates - 01 Apr 2007 14:31 - 13931 of 24230

Good afternoon all. You may, or may not, have noticed that I steered clear of the Cafe this morning. If there is a practical joke going, I usually fall for it hook, line and sinker.

I must say that I didn't fall for the BBC classic spaghetti harvest though, anyone knows that spaghetti comes in tins and that there are 57 varieties of it.

optomistic - 01 Apr 2007 14:56 - 13932 of 24230

Good aftenoon Socco, it's surprising how many people believe that spagetti grows on trees, I know better, I know it's dug out of the ground like potatoes.
That out of a tin is just an imitation.

Spaceman - 02 Apr 2007 07:50 - 13933 of 24230

Morning all, nice day in Hasting, the only cloud is that I have to go to the dentists todays for 2 fillings.... I hate and fear the dentist...

Socs, I too am under great pressure from Mrs S to get rid of some of the essential items I have kept, she seems to think that having 2 garages and 2 bedrooms completly full of useful, but not currently needed, things is unreasonable. Good job she doesnt know that I have another stash of stuff at my Mums place ;-)

Socrates - 02 Apr 2007 08:06 - 13934 of 24230

Good morning Spacie, hello all. Tea is on and the usual vittals are all fresh and ready. Now must see what the market is up to.

Big Al - 02 Apr 2007 08:12 - 13935 of 24230

Morning.

Socrates - 02 Apr 2007 08:19 - 13936 of 24230

I've Just come out from hiding because the dustbin men have just been, they strike fear and terror into all and sundry. At any moment they might strike you down with a note accusing you of putting the wrong kind of rubbish in your wheelie.

stockbunny - 02 Apr 2007 09:06 - 13937 of 24230

Morning Socs - sounds like your dustbin men are a bit enthusiastic!
Wish we had a wheelie, we're stuck still with horrid black bags here, even the recycling goes in plastic bags, slightly daft when you consider they collect glass!

Danish warming, tea's up :>)

Socrates - 02 Apr 2007 09:17 - 13938 of 24230

Good morning Bunny. Wheelie bins are fine except that they all get left all over the place. Gone are the days when a "dustie" would collect your bin, empty it and then return it.

We have plastic boxes with lids for recycling, guess what, they are made from recycled plastic.

Socrates - 02 Apr 2007 09:45 - 13939 of 24230

I've just exchanged some e-mails with a chap in Kuwait, its sunny out there, oddly enough.

stockbunny - 02 Apr 2007 10:00 - 13940 of 24230

Well I never - sunny in Kuwait ;>)
Going to be quiet this week I guess, many taking a well earned break..
