Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

In many pubs that I used to frequent, most of the clientèle had great difficulty standing up.

Nothing to do with getting tanked up with cheap booze on an empty stomach before they go out then? and then getting more "a bit dearer booze" later.. All due to doing the above standing up then is it?
Aren't some of our Police forces wonderful?

Yes , if it starts to smoke its to hot , coconut oil takes longer to smoke then olive oil. Coconut oil is a MCT oil which means even if its high in saturated fat the body doesn't treat it as a fat but as a carbohydrate.

Polunsaturated and mono unsaterated fats found in nuts and seed are benifical to the nervous and brain systems as well as cardiovascular systems. They should be kept cool. The only oil that should ever be heated is Olive oil.Veg oils change their structure when heated especially when heated at high temps making then potentially damaging to arteries and the whole cardiovascular system.Lucky boy popeye!! A hot olive!!!!!!!!!!

Good to see Cameron and Ossie are economic successes
Only £1trillion in debt.
They will have to reread the books on biscuit tin accounting and economics.
We are “doomed”.

Skinny,
You have picked on one of my many irritations.
I tend to count the 000000000000.
I not sure whether, I prefer to drink US pints or Imperial.
Perhaps one is only half full.
-------------------
But it is good to see that Hammond is saving money by cutting back on the forces and the truth.
Perhaps, he hasn’t notice Cameron and a few others are stoking it up against Iran. (Is he looking for the Maggie “factor” to keep him in “power”.
Also, noticed the Argentines are having another “look” at the Falkland’s Isles and we haven’t a boat.
Perhaps, the cabinet can “row, row the boat” to defend the “property”.
When are they going to do another U-turn?
What a lot of plonkers.
=========
I see some of the Scots are trying to leave the sinking boat and its Captain.

How billions and trillions changed
Susie Dent Lexicographer
In 1690, the philosopher John Locke suggested the French word billion as a useful term for avoiding "the often repeating of millions of millions of millions etc". The French had purposely coined "billion" a 100 or so years earlier to denote the second power of a million ("bi" being the standard prefix for two).
However the application of the word was subsequently changed by French arithmeticians, so that the terms "billion" and "trillion" denoted not the second and third powers of a million, but a thousand millions and a thousand thousand millions. This system was adopted by the US. Britain, however, retained the original (and etymologically correct) use.
In 1974, Harold Wilson pledged that the British government would adopt the "short scale" naming system used in the US to avoid ambiguity. As a result, the value of billion is now generally understood to mean a thousand millions. Nonetheless this is still a bone of contention for many, and the older sense "a million millions" is still common.

Help.
I have just changed from my old computer to a new one which is running Windows 7 Firefox9.01 and Explorer 9.
Previously, I was able to utilise and online spelling checker when editing or writing to a window such as this.
I don't seem to be able to find and interactive add-on for doing so on the computer or versions of browsers.
I know the content of my postings offend one or two, but don't want to add spelling mistakes to offend even more.
(Don't say just stop posting.)
