Spaceman - 28 Jan 2005 23:56

CLOSED - THANKS to all customers for the last few years

stockbunny - 21 May 2007 09:35 - 15301 of 24230

Could be calling you JR then Spacie LOL

Socrates - 21 May 2007 09:41 - 15302 of 24230

Socco calling earth, Socco calling earth.

Just arrived back from the car man, took the chara' in for its annual work-over and MOT. Decided to walk home since it is a reasonably nice day, only took an hour, probably faster than driving in rush-hour Cheltenham.

Feet up and a nice mug of Char will do nicely.

Bunny, am I seeing double or was that a double tap?

stockbunny - 21 May 2007 09:43 - 15303 of 24230

Too trigger happy here this morning Socs it seems LOL

Bluelady - 21 May 2007 09:49 - 15304 of 24230

I reckon it was the thought of toasting those soldiers that made you very happy to post twice, stockbunny.

Spaceman - 21 May 2007 09:56 - 15305 of 24230

They havnt found any oil yet but they have found what they call putty chalk !!

stockbunny - 21 May 2007 09:57 - 15306 of 24230

It that a technical term for clay?
;>)

Socrates - 21 May 2007 10:01 - 15307 of 24230

I don't think I would want putty chalk under my house, Spacie. Dodgy stuff.

Spaceman - 21 May 2007 10:31 - 15308 of 24230

Bunny, no its chalk but wet chalk, putty chalk explains it well as its the texture of putty.

Socs, its waht we were expecting Norfolk is mainly chalk and we havea river at the end of the garden. We will have to have piles for the footings anyway and I understand that there is a standard way af putting them into putty chalk. I aked them if they could drill though it but they said it was probably about 800 feet thick at this location!

jeffmack - 21 May 2007 10:55 - 15309 of 24230

Has K been to the Cutty Sark

stockbunny - 21 May 2007 11:35 - 15310 of 24230

Would expect it chopping up rather then torched JM, bit more our K's style ;>)
Sad though isn't it......

Socrates - 21 May 2007 15:18 - 15311 of 24230

I'm back again! What do you mean, you hadn't noticed I was gone? I think I'll have a snooze in the hammock, that's six miles I've walked today.

KEAYDIAN - 21 May 2007 15:24 - 15312 of 24230

Where you been Socs.

Socrates - 21 May 2007 15:35 - 15313 of 24230

Been to collect my car. MOT, no problem.

KEAYDIAN - 21 May 2007 22:44 - 15314 of 24230

Didn't notice, ha

Spaceman - 22 May 2007 03:12 - 15315 of 24230

Morning all, I just woke up with a cold, I felt a bit odd driving back from Norfolk yesterday afternoon but I thought it was just hay fever, but when I woke a little while ago it seems to be a full blown cold, lucky me.

Obviously being a man I will need constant attention and sympathy to see me through the next few days while I recover.

Big Al - 22 May 2007 03:38 - 15316 of 24230

20th April was last time I read this thread. Just thought I'd let you know.

Good morning. ;-))

Spaceman - 22 May 2007 04:05 - 15317 of 24230

Al, your always welcome, so where are you at the moment? somewhere exotic? like the North Sea ;-)

Big Al - 22 May 2007 04:24 - 15318 of 24230

Indeed. ;-))

.............. at least until tomorrow. Yee-ha!

Bluelady - 22 May 2007 07:35 - 15319 of 24230

Not certain whether you will see this Spaceman, since you were awake when you should have been asleep, but yes a full blown man cold really does need special care and attention otherwise it turns into man flu and could lead to death......so how can I be nice to you?

Big Al, eerie you were in the coffee house, spoke to me and then disapppeared for a month to somewhere exotic.!!!!! Absolutely amazing timing though to be able to speak to Spaceman at that time in the night. Welcome back.

optomistic - 22 May 2007 07:45 - 15320 of 24230

Morning Blue, Nice for Big Al to have a holiday home on the North Sea .......exotic, umh not so sure about that!
Any tea ready?
