Kowalik-1H
Adelphi has been advised by the operator, Texas Crude Energy Inc (“TCEI”), that at 6am on the 7 October 2008 the well had reached a measured depth of 16,178 ft which equates to approximately 4,350 ft of horizontal section within the Austin Chalk.
The well has continued to produce gas whilst drilling, with regular intervals producing strong flares with back pressure on the well. The rig has consistently measured gas readings in excess of 2,000 units.
Whilst encouraging the commercial significance of these gas shows and flares will not be known until the well has been flow tested.
The horizontal section is targeting the upper part of the Austin Chalk that has been reported as successfully producing gas and condensate in 3 wells in the adjacent acreage.
Kennedy -1H
TCEI has also reported that commercial production commenced at Kennedy -1H at
initial rates of 0.2 million standard cubic feet per day and 60 barrels of condensate per day on 2 October 2008.
This initial Kennedy production comes from a fracture stimulated zone of approximately 600 ft at the bottom of the approximately 4,000 ft horizontal section of the well, which was drilled within a lower stratigraphic level than that being drilled at Kowalik -1H.
To our knowledge this represents the first production from this lower level within the Sugarkane Field.
Not exactly over exciting, although it is production?

EME's release.
8 October 2008
Empyrean Energy PLC
("Empyrean" or the "Company"; Ticker: (EME))
Sugarloaf Prospect, ("Sugarloaf"), Block B, Texas USA
* Kennedy well commences commercial production to sales
* Kennedy production is from the middle pay zone
* This production has significant positive impact on the overall reserves potential of
the Sugarkane Gas and Condensate Field
Empyrean Energy Plc, the oil and gas explorer and producer with assets in Germany and the
USA provides the following update on
operations on Block B which is part of the Sugarkane Gas and Condensate Field:
Kennedy 1H
Empyrean has been advised by the operator, Texas Crude Energy Inc ("TCEI"), that
commercial production commenced at Kennedy 1H at
initial rates of 0.2 million standard cubic feet per day and 60 barrels of condensate per day
on the 02/10/08 (US CST). This initial Kennedy
production comes from a fracture stimulated zone of approximately 600ft in the bottom of the
4,000 ft horizontal section of the well drilled
through a lower stratigraphic level to that currently being drilled at Kowalik 1H. To our
knowledge this represents the first production
from this level within the Sugarkane Field.
Kowalik 1H Well
TCEI have also reported that at 06:00hrs on the 08/10/08 (US CST) the well had reached a
measured depth of 16,178 ft, which equates to
approximately 4,350ft of horizontal section within the Austin Chalk.
The well has continued to produce gas whilst drilling, with regular intervals producing
strong flares with back pressure on the well.
The rig has consistently measured gas readings in excess of 2,000 units.
Whilst encouraging the commercial significance of these gas shows and flares will not be known until the well has been flow tested.
The horizontal section is targeting the upper pay interval that has been reported as
successfully producing gas and condensate in Block
A (TCEI JV Block A-1 and A-3 wells).
Further updates will be provided following developments.
Empyrean has a working interest of 18% in this well.

Notwithstanding high oil prices, there has
been no progress on the Eagle Project farm
out in California during the financial year. As
a consequence, at the end of June 2008, the
Operator presented a proposal to joint venture
partners to hand their respective interests
over to Empyrean Energy PLC for a small
consideration. This would relinquish the joint
venture partners of any further liabilities and
costs on the project. Sun Resources accepted
the offer for its 10% WI post financial year,
and will be exiting this asset when legal
documentation is completed.
Another piece of news coming from a realiable Aussie who has contacts in Texas,
Komalik continues to flare and the weekend saw some spectacular ones?

Weekly update from our aussie jv's confirmed, approx 2 weeks, to know for sure?
Kowalik 1H Well
Empyrean has been advised by the operator, Texas Crude Energy Inc ("TCEI"), that at
06:00hrs on the 21/10/08 (US CST) the well had
reached a measured depth of 16,483 ft, which equates to approximately 4,600 ft of horizontal
section within the Austin Chalk.
The well has again continued to produce gas whilst drilling, with further significant gas
flares resulting from the last section of the
well. Gas readings regularly in excess of 2,000 units have continued to be measured.
Whilst encouraging the commercial significance of these gas shows and flares will not be
known until the well has been flow tested.
The horizontal section is targeting the upper pay interval that has been reported as
successfully producing gas and condensate in Block
A (TCEI JV Block A-1 and A-3 wells).
The Joint Venture has elected to call Total Depth at this point and a wiper trip has been
carried out in preparation for completion of
the well. These operations are expected to take 7 - 10 days before the well will be flow
tested.
Empyrean has a working interest of 18% in this well.
Further updates will be provided following developments.

Empyrean has been advised by Texas Crude Energy Inc ("TCEI") that a coil tubing unit has
arrived to the TCEI JV Block A-4 well in order
to commence procedures to flow back and clean up the well to remove drilling fluids/mud and
conduct a production flow test.
The well intersected at least 1500 feet of high gas readings and gas flares during
drilling of the horizontal portion of the well in the
target upper chalk zone. The operator has commenced drilling fluid clean up and flow back
operations to recover drilling mud.
Empyrean has a working interest of 7.5% in this well.
Should get an update tomorrow from Kowalik, so possible flow rates from two wells (which is needed) in the near future?

Empyrean Energy Plc, the oil and gas explorer and producer with assets in Germany and the USA provides the following update on operations on Block B which is part of the Sugarkane Gas and Condensate Field:
Kowalik -1H Well
Empyrean has been advised by the operator, Texas Crude Energy Inc ('TCEI'), that at 10.30pm Texas time on the 25 October 2008 the Kowalik -1H well had been completed and the Patterson #130 rig was released and commenced mobilisation to the next drilling location.
Once the well site has been cleared, preparations will begin for the production test of Kowalik -1H, which is anticipated to commence within the next 3 days. Results will be announced as soon as possible thereafter. The location has been tied into production and export facilities so that when the test is complete the production can be immediately switched to sales.
Weston -1H
Empyrean has also been advised by TCEI that the next well to be drilled within the Sugarloaf AMI will be the Weston -1H well. The wellsite is located approximately 1.5km to the east of the Kennedy -1H well and it is designed with a 6000 ft horizontal section drilled to the south east.
The well is targeting the upper chalk interval that has successfully produced gas and condensate in Block A wells (A-1 and A-3 wells) and gave positive indications while drilling in the Kowalik -1H well. The well design continues to build upon the knowledge gained from recent operations and offset data.
The well is expected to take approximately 65-90 days from spud date which is anticipated following the rigging up on site of the rig over the next week.
Empyrean has a working interest of 18% in the above wells.
Further updates will be provided following developments.
