SK/SC Got a signal this morning to close a MRW short from 327.16 on 3rd Jan (which I didn't take.....Doh!), see what Monday brings, have a good weekend.

Mixed week for me, closed BA. and MTO probably to early and most definately EXPN (bloody brokers) missed out on an extra 20 pips there, but looking like a short now anyway. RR. poor entry and well down but plenty of time to recover prior to results. Tsco was a nightmare, but will just keep rolling the spread on the quarterly bet, SBRY and MRW new quarterly bets ditto. Got Buy/Sell orders not triggered yet either way on SMP and CEY. Not a good week to attempt the quit smoking New Year resolution :O) Got a batch of patches and mints, start Monday, taking a weeks break away from the screen only way it's going to happen. Chris - giving up is easy, I've done it loads of times!

Seriously, I gave up last new year and found it quite easy as I had made my mind up this time. I don't miss it at all - I was smoking about 10 cigars a day.

LOL skinny, prior to TSCO results managed to cut down from 40 cigs a day to 15. Only way like you say is just quit, set the date Monday, and the Mrs is going to hide the mouse so I can't trade. We'll see :O)

Morning Gents (& any lasses present!)

Shorted EXPN which has recently hit it's highs - divergence on the daily chart between Stochs and Price. A MACD divergence over the last couple of months also gives weight to an exhausted move. Volume's have remained rather steady so not giving much away. Also on the candlesticks (apologies for this being the wrong chart - still getting the hang of posting charts!) a bearish engulfing pattern emerged Fri 20/01 as well as a MACD divergence bar recorded on the 20th also.

Looks like the 5700 resistance on the ftse has gone (fingers crossed). Next level 5800 to take out.

Gone long on MRW closed out my Old Mutual for a small loss. FTSE looks like it could trade up to 5800 and beyond?. Was a technical short on resistance at 145p but looks through this now. Cutting losers quickly and letting winners drive on.
