I will never critise a buyer or seller, for doing just that, whatever time they pick to do it, so long as it does not affect me.

Out for the rest of the day, so, have a good weekend people, and you Dave!

Cheers sw , big up for the 23rd.

Where will this one go on monday. Lots of sells.

Mickyskint and others.

This answers your question I believe.

Taken from very kind poster at ADVFN,(eurofox), where my "Mates" are!

Why did the bid stay at 17.5???

eurofox - 19 Nov'04 - 17:24 - 2689 of 2691

because clearly there are buyers for all of these - there is no MM in the world that would take trades of that size on to their books without knowing in advance where they are going - otherwise (a) the selling price for those trades would have been very much lower and (b) so would the closing bid

aldwickk - 19 Nov 2004 19:51 - 1925 of 7811

Not sure if those big end of day trades are all sells.

seawallwalker - 19 Nov 2004 19:57 - 1926 of 7811

No, there is some doubt expressed about sells today.

Seems there are reports of sells where the buyers compare their purchase!

Something amiss there.

If we assume buys for a few, then that also would explain no movement in the price.

I care not in the short term anyway.

I would like to keep these for a long time depending on what is going on. I intend of course to keep up to date in the mean time.

He who dares Rodney!

Evening ,some big moves late on,,roll on monday,,& lets get this show on the road.

Hectorp - 20 Nov 2004 18:44 - 1928 of 7811

The large late trades are agreed trades matching buys for the day. The buys and sells matched on Friday more or less. No one is dumpiong for example.
As many institutions will want to buy stock as those wanting to sell. My view is MORE buyers than sellers will appear as the stock issue was twice oversubscribed.
It might take a few days to get over the 18.5p level and Monday-Tuesday may be cat and mouse days. but then we could move fairly fast into the low 20's.

Hectorp - I am sure we appreciate that explanation.

Thank you.

Do remember folks that the LSE does not report "buys" and "sells", merely trades. The Buy and Sell notation shown on this site is simply a result of comparisons against the Mid price at the time. It gives a "feel" for what is going on, but is not definitive.

FWIW, I have a bijou long puntette on SEY.

Regards to all
