it would be very nice if it turns out to be true, but this has been rumoured so often that one should belive it when seen ...... though far from impossible

There have been a lot of rumours and if this one had any legs the sp would have reacted accordingly. Instead it fell slightly today. I've been in PXC for 3 years now so would welcome such action.

My money would be on an offer from CPW.

Well, after 3 months I took my phone package back to BT coz Pipex were absolutely crap. I still get my broadband through them. Never have I dealt with an outfit where 2 parts have such different standards of service.

If I was BT or anyone else, I'd have a bit of it and shut the rest down. ;-)

Why is a bid so likely, and i dont think Vod would be interested in buying such a company considering that it would be branching out from its core business to something new and unexplored - BT on the toher hand is a possibility, or maybe even BSKYB.
