spud,
Now they are refinanced it is down to the 2 Celtic Sea drills currently underway. Best of luck to IOG and PVR in the 3 Celtic Sea drills. I hold PVR but no IOG yet but am familiar with them. I saw both cos. present at the Oilbarrel Conference last November and both CEOs know the oil and gas business intimately.
At 40/41p IOG are a speculative buy imo. If I can find some loot I will buy at these levels on a risk/reward basis.

Hi guys,
I'm new to this game but have read a couple of articles which suggest the drilling in the Celtic sea going on at the moment is a pretty safe bet. The company seems to have a number of exciting short term prospects which look promising, particularly since the location of these drills is close enough to the Kinsale gas field to pipe through that, instead of having to develop a stand-alone gas field.

The oil field just offshore the Netherlands seems another interesting prospect, with IOG holding a 60% stake there in partnership with the Dutch government.

With Encore Oil farming in to the Irish blocks this would give reasonable credibility to the prospects, but I'm not at all au fait with the projected profits and how these would impact on the sp. I have read that if the low estimate of 14m cubic ft per day was recovered from the Old Head of Kinsale, the estimated profits would be 11m pa...not taking into account the significant development costs required.

My question is how do you go about calculating the approx sp increase based on such recovery figures in the medium term.

Any advise very much appreciated!!!
