This is for 2008 -9
(2007 was a year with great hopes and hype, equals a sp about 50p)
Reality now is a sp about 4p
Yet despite a drug failure ( was it?), they have some products that look interesting - not earth-shattering but a decent pipeline AND some CASH - "wow"! the only Q in my mind: Is it close to the sp? I suspect it is! SO, anyone buying is really buying some hollow-cash - let me explain - that's cash you can't touch, looks good, but has no "solid" value. (since you can't spend it etc)
BUT
There are v.few Bio's with Cash compared with Mkt Cap and I think it will only be time before others see this too. I hold from Past (now forgotten) and mostly from recent lows -
This is a FUll-List co, (Isa-able!), so nothing like many other get-rich Bio's - this is "almost" the real thing....unless anyone can say different....go on!
Note: that IF this went to 50p in the next few years, you are looking at a 10-bagger, so put a few in an ISA to protect the upside...for I suspect the downside is pretty securred. It fell c. 5% today on modest selling 2x the Buys. One Buy was for 100-worth; maybe somone buying certificated to attend AGM's which are nice affarirs, but with relatively few PI's - but that's current woeful Markets, isn't it?
Where else can you get an ISA-able 10-bagger (?) for the cash-value?
+Someone will pounce...let's hope...eh?
-DYOR-
These are woeful times!

Placing and CONsolidation . . . . . . . May 2009.
another Placing, = Feb 2012 at 20p
New shares offered at 3p
CONsolidation 1 share for every 20 (after May 2009)
So every share bought now is at 60p,(May 2009)
Historically these shares were £12 until the disasterous lack of positive News prior to 2007 . . . . . . . .even with this CONsolidation, there is little good to see, although the com, pany is now shouting about their pipeline . . . . . pity they didn't have something to shout about somewhat earlier.
SP about 85p=Buy, - (5June09)
EDIT (25Nov2010)- Oh deary, and at the agm it was looking good at 50p, - but now 32p
EDIT (5Jan2011)- Market buys £15k-worth, pusing sp 6%, now 45p
EDIT(10Feb2012) sp up! - another funding, but at a premium maybe 20p now is far better than 60p (equiv) in 2009.... added comment above in italics - I hold from earlier still hoping...DYOR.
EDIT(14May2012):- Oh well it's AIM, now, so all ISA's are "out" forcing sells. Currently 23p that's a third of what it was post CONsolidation. Doesn't look good, does it? So, now it's NEW New Vernalis, expect a name-change "Looser" perhaps?

Proactive investors - THREE TO WATCH IN 2015
Vernalis (LON:VER) is one AIM stock to watch in this space.
The firm has licensed worldwide rights for vipadenant (V2006) - aimed at helping cancer sufferers - to Boston firm Redox. Shares have climbed to 48p and are up 27% since the start of the year

Something a little fishy with the SP here me thinks...........
Given that VERNALIS have just launched the new cough product 'Tuzistra' into the US with great expectation for the winter season, AND the fact that VER are scheduled to present 18 months results on 29th Sept 2015, it is most unusual that the SP is being held @83p. It seems to be held in small trading range with few shares being visually traded.
I smell a rat here, especially with buy rating @100p.

Well, the investors have "gone Away" it seems - Currently 14p despite Sales more than expected..... Wow... So just how little was expected?
Others have suggested the sp 90p was too high - an understatement, - but pres. built on HOPE that the American Marketing would fix all.
New Cough product launched late 2015 . . . ?
I think I need something stronger, right now.
EDIT (22Dec2017)-sp 8p [down after AGM,], but this represents the Co-cash near-enough; so the cough mixtures, Etc. are in for v.little.
EDIT (14March2018) - sp~4p2 DYOR. - Looks like there is something wrong here -
