BROKER CALL: Credit Suisse remains bullish on UK housebuilders
12 January, 2010 07:34:30 AM

Broker tells us: 'We cite an average 58% upside potential to our target prices. We now expect flat house prices in 2010 (previously down 5%) and thus do not anticipate any further impairments across the sector (we believe prices need to fall 14% from current levels for further impairments). We see the sector valuation, at 1.0x NAV, as attractive.' Credit Suisse retains its outperform ratings on Barratt (TP: 257p), Bellway (TP: 1256p from 1200p), Bovis (TP: 774p from 750p), Persimmon (TP: 642p from 606p), Redrow (TP: 215p) and Taylor Wimpey (TP: 65p). Maintains its neutral rating on Berkeley (TP: 920p from 903p).

Falklands Oil And Gas FOGL..... been doing the busines for a few days now. Was very suprised to see that the stock has a Beta (this is a oiley) below 1, in fact 0.7 so that suited me to the ground. Im not very keen on fast moving stocks.

cynic - 13 Jan 2010 11:52 - 5 of 3532

bad weather will have done them no good at all even if Christmas period was strong

goldfinger - 13 Jan 2010 11:59 - 6 of 3532

Yep but cyners the period of reporting is prior to the bad weather. Must admit they will obviously give a outlook statement which is very important to my mind but the fact is we are talking relative here and all competitors will be in the same boat.

Anyway stop wittering and get some charts posted up.

Any type will do.

Was wondering if we should change the opening post and go for indicies and sectors aswell....... any thoughts????????????????????????????????????.

would be appreciated cyners and everybody.

Come on lets have a few ideas up, the idea is to exchange potential money making opportunities long or short , beginner or advanced to TA.

Its not a comp just a thread where I hope respect will be given.

Often thought we needed something like this on this board.

Remember you never stop learning in this business.

Balerboy - 13 Jan 2010 12:16 - 7 of 3532

He's too busy playing with his balls........snowballs lol

cynic - 13 Jan 2010 12:33 - 8 of 3532

busy tucking into my home-made scotch broth that i brought in for me and the staff ..... good filling stuff made with lamb breast and veg, though i use haricots rather than barley

as for charts, peter holden is the whizz, whereas i can only manage the real kiddies stuff ..... don't even know where you guys pull up your charts to post.

sector charts would be interesting.
i know IG quote sectors and i'm sure they have charts for same on site, but i'm not very good with theirs, and also don't think they are copyable

goldfinger - 13 Jan 2010 13:12 - 9 of 3532

Right cyners added indicies and sectors to the opening post.

Charts dont have to be oil paintings etc etc, many a time the simple line chart with added explanation underneath can be as good as anything going.

Any style will do at any level.

Were all here to make dosh.......collectively if we can.

cheers.

cynic - 13 Jan 2010 13:16 - 10 of 3532

sticky - from where do you get your charts?
FTSE and similar can be obtained here - see FTSE thread - but no idea about others.

Also, where applicable, i attach charts to the relevant thread, which is arguably where your individual company ones should live.
One could still post comment here, but refer peeps to the relevant thread

goldfinger - 13 Jan 2010 13:22 - 11 of 3532

Here, advfn and this is a corker of a good site......

http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/

all UK included with many options.

cheers.

cynic - 13 Jan 2010 13:31 - 12 of 3532

once spent 40 minutes on advfn and then walked quickly away as it seemed full of arseholes whose main interest was to throw abuse

Balerboy - 13 Jan 2010 13:49 - 13 of 3532

You have been known to do the same...........;-))

cynic - 13 Jan 2010 13:52 - 14 of 3532

only at pricks like you, and that doesn't really count!
impossible to abuse the coven, whom i guess have been permanently exiled anyway

Balerboy - 13 Jan 2010 14:03 - 15 of 3532

ouch!! i'll remember that one........bitch.

cynic - 13 Jan 2010 14:52 - 16 of 3532

i ain't your bitch, that's for certain!

goldfinger - 13 Jan 2010 14:54 - 17 of 3532

Supposed to be for charts not fratching.

cynic - 13 Jan 2010 15:00 - 18 of 3532

do you meet fraternising, scratching or frotting?

Balerboy - 13 Jan 2010 15:05 - 19 of 3532

sorry gf, he brings the worst out of me......time i came out.

goldfinger - 14 Jan 2010 08:21 - 20 of 3532
