When I say worth researching, what is interesting is going back to RNS released 25th September which announces Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander (UK division) in administration, sold entire holding 7% causing sp to fall from 48p to 32p. As you can see from the basic chart I have posted the sp remains depressed with the effect of the overhang.

The interesting part is to look back at the RNS announcement since September 2009, and I think others may agree that these are due a re rating once the overhang has cleared. Finals due 22nd April which should be the catalyst imo.

Worth doing some digging here I think.

This shows they have a wealth of experience in the security/military sector, and hence a wide range of contracts from all over the world. Westminster are valued at only 5.0m, a BOD of this quality would not be content with this, and will move the company forward by organic growth and acquisition.

imo

The first RNS after the news of the forced seller is shown below and was released on 6th November 2009. It contains significant contract news including the $2.7m extension contract in Sudan plus $1.0m of other contracts around the world. An interesting part is the news of payment recieved from Sudan of $1.3m with a further $.200m within 2 weeks. In the Interims two months before WSG recored a loss mainly due to $1.8m late payment due from Sudan.

Hands up I admit contracts can be a bit lumpy when a large amount is won from a country such as Sudan, but I believe that the RNS below does give more confidence in the quality of contracts being won.

The RNS below released 14th January 2010 shows how bullish trading has been at the training division, which I believe will help WSG Finals to come in ahead of market forecasts.

The contract announced 18th January for The Ministry of Justice ,I believe is one of the most significant developments for WSG. If you think of the potential a four year contract for maintenance and various security equipments for 139 UK Prisons will give, and also the improved visibility to future profits.

WSG still stays at the suppressed 35p level, but with Finals due 22nd April, and a trading statement due also, that should be the kick start needed for this little hidden gem.

Only my opinion but worth checking the fundamentals..........

For those investors that like to trade on break outs, this may be of interest. They delayed results last week which are now due this Friday. At least it was a good reason for the the delay, with news of a share placing to fund working capital due to new contract wins, then another RNS which gave the news of a major acquisition.

Might be an idea to await Finals on Friday to confirm they are on track, and that visibility is improving for 2011.
